are you allergic to effort

No, I'm learning one right now.

It's easier to teach people English.

there's much less point doing so when the last two global superpowers have been english speaking. if China takes over, maybe then there'll be a reason to do so.

English is a mongrel language full of irregularities yet its basic grammar is simple compared to other major languages. Hence it's harder for anglophones to conceptualize a more complex language unless they're immersed in it, and many never leave their country, sticking to tourist ghettos if they do.

I'm trying to learn chinese right now. It's hard.
I want a bilingual version of Quotations by Chairman Mao but afaik there's only one published version from the 60s and a kindle release on Amazon.

Well, I hear that Angloid tourists are always demanding locals to speak English

tbh when i read about the grammar of most other languages they come across as pointlessly overcomplicated. conveying meaning by fucking with the words instead of by using word order just seems like a gimmicky party trick. gender systems are inane, and those of european languages particularly inane (Swahili's might be the best implementation of that bad concept), and that's just off the top of my head.

chinese is the main exception where my superficial impression is that it's more rational than english for dropping articles and other complications. of course, that means they had to come up with tones to filter lǎowài

EOL (english as only language) is just too convenient for them.

English is the true successor of the Roman language. All the so called "romance" languages started adding all their squirrelly accent marks to everything which makes the script looks so ugly. English is so nice and visually clean because of not having those.

Roman Latin was SOV, while English is SVO.
Also, scriptio continua didn't have spaces, diacretics, cases, or punctuation. Truly a barbaric language designed for imbeciles.
