I make an account using a VPN and only log into it with VPNs for over a year to talk about politics, today I get struck by "phone verification required" - I fold my opsec and try to submit a phone number but guess what "phone number invalid", "oops you've encountered a special error". "you're being rate limited". I try to contact support first asking if I can use my account without a phone number - they say nope. I ask them about the issue of being unable to add a phone number and they fucking give me the silent treatment and treat all my support requests as "solved" when they are not. I can't email they because they don't have a fucking email to write to and the only option left is to make a fucking xitter account to see if I can get their help there.

I think I might just request account deletion at this point but I doubt they will answer to my request either.

No idea what to do. I lost some contacts but by friends of friends I sort of managed to tell them what happened.

I know discord sucks, I know it isn't private, I just wanted to use it to chat casually about politics - mostly news.
Fucking hell.

Finally managed to send a request that isn't automatically "solved" by a different category, what a pain.

Regrettably, there isn't really an easier way to get people to come together. Let's face it, IRC is dead. Matrix is a possibility but lacks a lot of the features Shitcord has. Getting people to switch is a nightmare, everyone just bends over and takes Fedcord cock. Oh well.

I also made another request to have my support account deleted - but I got an auto response that it can't be deleted for at least 5 years… but I was told they can at least redact some info I submitted, which they still haven't done either.

And yes, they make you make a separate damn account just for support.
