It didn't go out with a bang, it wasn't terrible but I only got a few laughs out of it, felt a bit rushed.
I can see why they wanted to end it, they were kind of running out of ideas. The funniest moment out of the last two episodes that got me to laugh for like a few seconds was the reference to vidrel.
It just feels like it wasn't really worth the wait, maybe it got overhyped.
smiling friends has 3 good episodes in season 1 and that's as good as it ever got

I can definitely see how making this show any longer can make it like rick and morty where its now totally devoid of humor and wit.
I can only fathom anyone liking smiling friends if they didn’t grow up with that humor in the Newgrounds era, because otherwise the humor feels pretty dated to me.

Episode 9 was nothing, it had like one gag in it. The final episode was pretty good though, one of the funnier episodes of the show.
