>>26462It's more than that though. Some sites like twitter are basically unmoderated, so the users end up becoming jannified in themselves trying to create a moderated pocket using user-end tooling. Then they get to an actually moderatable-at-scale space like fedi but they keep the mindset that they'll have to keep using the block button for everything, and keep blocking by association for risk mitigation when that just isolates your instance on a federated model and eventually leads to overcrowding on single instances with people trying to remain in contact with that crowd, eventually leading to unmoderatability.
