I'm kinda novice at these things, but I started to install gentoo linux into my computer for learning. If I don't implement secure boot during the installation process how hard it would be to implement after the installation process?
Sorry for bad english.
>>26824Secure boot only exists to deligitimize non MS OSs. I guarantee you no one will ever install a rootkit on your PC, your only potential threat vector is probably the feds taking all your electronics for shits and giggles, because you torrented. I just make sure to dump everything illegal on an encrypted storage partition.
I dont think it would be very hard but I feel Secure Boot for end users is mostly pointless.
It's a lot more hassle than the protection its giving you from very specific attacks that you are unlikely to be targeted by. In enterprise it makes sense, but not for us.
