Hi friends,

I joined this community because leftism seems to be categorically anti-harm. In other words, it was the most wholesome board I could find.

Are you aware of any image board sites that do not host pornography, nazi-stuff, and other pernicious, obnoxious, sinister things? Examples include philosophy, book reviews, hobbies, and so on. I am most interested in philosophy.

May you be well and happy, fellow internet user.

Wtf are you talking about?

What are you confused about? That was a complete sentence with noun and verb, so it should be legible.

Most anime-centric imageboards and legacy textboards are like that. Even on arch-otaku sites like tohnochan the posters just want to waifufag in peace and 4chan culture is deeply despised. Philosophy is kind of a hard one, you can try our /edu/, but the people most knowledgable on a particular philosohpical strain will usually hang around dedicated forums or mailing lists.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate that you took the time to give helpful advice.

I will browse /edu/ and scout for 'dedicated forums' and 'mailing lists'. Also, I was looking for something that doesn't need an account to interact / post, which lead me to imageboards. Otherwise, i probably would be on reddit.

I sincerely admire your wisdom. How come you know about this? What has your experience been like?

I found the "Philosophy Stack Exchange" and a philosophy forum, but they both require an account. That doesn't jive with my desire to just wiz by and post willy-nilly without the whole burden of logging in, remembering passwords, and the potential information leak. I am in despair, but y'know what they say, just gotta 'keep on til you find it'

The imageboard and textboard ecosystem is made up largely of 4chan splinters, regional boards, and/or very insular niche or legacy communities. The latter are the most interesting, but don't take well to outsiders, so i won't spoonfeed you. There is a list of mostly dead imageboards floating around, otherwise sushigirl.us or 4-ch.net are good starting points to explore from.

eternally grateful with much respect and admiration

petrarchan.com?

I've been looking for a place myself. The problem with a lot of comfy sites is that they aren't really wholesome. /kind/'s whole gig is that nobody should say obnoxious sinister things on /kind/ but a bunch of the users are /pol/ adjacent. You could try sushigirl.us, but its mostly an image dump and blogposting site where any serious discussion gets nuked because of the fear that any serious topic will be controversial. So you wind up not being able to discuss anything anywhere. Its either too permissive or so restrictive its suffocating. /edu/ is moderately better, but leftypol is filled with psychotic MLs who are just like the Nazi nostalgia baiters, except fixated on the Soviet Union instead of the trillion year reich. It seems most /lit/ boards outside of 4Chan are dead and 4Chan /lit/ is now braindead and filled with /pol/ Christians and dead beats. Wapchan is consistently dead and filled with drop outs from 4Chan /a/.

Think you'd need some basis for resolving disputes, some method, for this to work.
The more generic and precise the methodology the greater the appeal.
Examples would be: statistics (is from an ought), dialectic (immutably perfect), doctrine (of what?), obedience (to whom?).
A common goal or intention could also aid; at least then disputes are made with good intentions.
The reason isn't wholly what's required is the difficulty of assessing intentions without a system of reputation (which anon doesn't have).

This is, from one perspective, a community organized around a humanitarian impulse, in Marxist garb.

4-ch.net has a nice literature board but it’s slow. They also get spammers from heyuri and 12 year old retard kids occasionally hitting up general (which nobody uses).
