I have been continuously paranoid since years about corporations and the government. I am an active militant and I like very much to keep my head low although sometimes I can't escape getting in the fray and involved with the media or the police. So my big threat vectors are the police, the government and to a lesser extent the media and the little fascist groups of my western European country.
Now I got windows out the way, I'm running arch and I wipe my laptop and desktop computers once or twice a year. I have Tails on a USB drive for critical operations, I have a riseup account but I never use it because I feel it could be a honeypot so I prefer Proton which is less political.
I used lineageOS build on my last phone but now I have a pixel with Graphene, Obviously I never post on leftypol without using a VPN or TOR.
Can I get better than that? I thought about using a 8 numbers pin on my phone on which I set up a reformat code if I'm forced to enter something but it fucking sucks to type so much each time I unlock it, I feel I'm not high profile enough to justify the hassle. And no I am never giving my digital print to any device.
you don't give enough info about your activities and what level of scrutiny you think you're getting and what they know and you don't care about compromising so u get generic advice
1. email:
- you could do e2ee with p2p
- if you don't want your emails tied to you then make sure you made the acct over tor and only access it over tor. Also extra leet points if you use a bridge, vpn, or access from someone else's wifi so that the fact you're on tor at that given time isn't known
2. physical:
- car could be bugged
- always have internet connected devices put away (e.g. in a safe or freezer) or unplugged when speaking around them
- everywhere you go by car is monitored
- all your purchases are watched
3. social:
- your security/privacy is only as strong as the weakest link (between you and the people you talk to)
4. encryption:
- make sure all your devices are full disk encrypted in case they get compromised
5. devices:
- don't mix your normie devices with your clandestine devices unless you're running qubes. qubes could replace both arch and tails unless you're gaming, in which case have a separate gaming device. qubes could already replace tales and have your files persist
my phone pin is 7 digits and i can type it in like 2 seconds
id recommend switching from proton to mullvad, proton has a free plan which means they are probably selling your data even if they say they arent, also you can pay for mullvad with monero
and for purchases, most likely if your using any kind of credit card etc your purchases are being tracked id recommend using cash or crypto whenever you can
id also recommend biking or ride sharing(car could be tracked) and if your walking wearing anti facial recognition glasses and or masks
