What if for the entirety of July we didn't use AI chatbots, or AI searches at all, using duckduckgo or other search engines with no AI intergration instead.
AI just makes me dumber and makes thinking for myself harder, it would be really cool if some people here could help spread this!

I was thinking about AI slop and transparency about using it and I think we're going to see a new dynamic:
"Ethical" AI Artists and Writers:
- admit they use it
- are transparent about it
- don't just use it mindlessly
- use it selectively so they can work on the stuff they feel they are best at
- Edit what the AI outputs heavily to better match their own version
- Get shit on by the public for "using AI slop"
"Non Ethical" AI artists
- Don't admit they use it
- aren't transparent about it
- use it mindlessly
- use it to do everything for them
- don't bother editing or even quality controlling
- Openly market their work as "human made" much to the clapping of cattle who buy it to make an "Anti AI statement" but don't bother even paying attention

duckduckgo has ai now too, enabled by default even. search companies are following google's lead and enshittifying their real search to push people to relying on their ai search, which keeps people from leaving the page and maximizes ad revenue for the search engine and gives nothing back to the original content author. this is the new normal and duckduckgo is a for-profit search company just like google or any other, why would they be any different?

i think i will have this AI july because my "AI-first" company has a quota so strict it's not even funny. I blew my quota just by asking a straighforward question. This shit is so over man.
