>>33719it's nothing to do with expertise or being an expert on something, and very often the kinds of people who act this way aren't even really experts on the subject they pretend to be experts on. it's just egocentrism reaching its ultimate conclusion, where a person can no longer see where their own mind ends and the world begins, they're so up their own asses that they think they are some kind of godlike entity who is above everyone else and therefore they don't find it embarrassing to bloviate at great length about some arcane trivia in front of confused unfamiliar audiences whom they view as lesser peons rather than equals. it's a side effect of being insulated from everyday material reality, being in your own little curated private world where you never have ego-deflating interactions with random people who are smarter than you and can really tear you apart and humiliate you directly to your face. introvert dorks who spend all their time on the internet often become this way due to being alienated from reality by their social ineptitude, and extremely famous celebrities such as kanye west tend to get this way due being so famous and wealthy that they never really have normal social interactions anymore and they are just surrounded by bootlickers who worship them 24/7 and nobody ever dares criticize them in-person. people need to be roasted and humbled from time to time or else they get weird and crazy and forget how to just be a person and talk to other people.
