Drug users have perfectly internalized the ideology of consumerism. In this regard, they are no different from Funko Pop collectors or Nintendo fanboys.
For they are all united by the same thought: CONSOOMING PRODUCT IS MY IDENTITY.
It is the ideology of passivity, of weakness, of dullness. Yet they derive their pride, their very identity from it. Because they lack the strength to create anything themselves, possess no thoughts of their own, and are completely dependent on external forces.
The system has neutralized them. And they are proud of it.
