I’m not saying that I think that it should be illegal because I don’t know enough about it. But other than the fact that beer is also bad for you and nobody is going to ban beer what is the reason that recreational marijuana should be unbanned?
Because people should generally be allowed to do stuff that's bad for them within reason?
Besides, some say weed is the only thing that helps with their pain.

If it was bad for you that would be grounds to at least restrict it, but it's not bad for you other than making you feel silly-to-sea-sick for a while.
Because nobody should be told what they can and cannot consume. If you're an adult that understands what they're putting in their bodies, nobody and nothing should have the power to take the right of bodily autonomy away from anyone.
