Yes, it tastes awful and varies wildly in quality. You are also just as likely to make a sort of pesticide tea if you aren't careful about where you are sourcing your raw materials. If you want an opiate effect, maybe try kratom instead.

My thought process was that it would be easier/cleaner (at least legally) to obtain dried plant to put into some water but the pesticide thing is something I didnt take into account.
However if Im going the pharma route, what makes kratom easier to get than opioids? or more importantly safer (I dont want to get flaced)?

Well you could go for self hypnosis. literally zero materials required. Altough it require a bit of work.

I mean its technically not an opioid, but it does have most of the same effects. I suggest an online retailer where you can first buy some small gel cap-filled pills, just get a couple and see what kind and what strength you like. You can get about 28 grams of the plant matter for about 10 USD$, so its pretty affordable. As far as it being laced, its a grey market drug (here in the USA anyway) so unless you buy stuff that specifically has additives like an extract or something you probably be ok.

As far as safety, their hasn't been that many recorded deaths but i would just be safe with it anyway and take a small dose and wait to see if you have any kind of adverse reaction to it and dont mix it with anything initially.

do you think its worth processing the plant matter for yourself? going back to the whole tea thing. Ill have to look into what people think the equiv dose of kratom to morphine is as a starting point since I know what I want out of the morph

You can just grow your own poppies and harvest your own latex. It is legal to do and not super hard.

kratom review: pretty nice, a good utility substance. 2 grams of the stuff at around 1.9% w/w of the compound in it is enough to alleviate aches. for the actual cozy feeling (at least to the extent that I wanna feel it) Ill probably have to take 4. good recc thanks dudeweeders.

So far Ive only seen vendors who sell natural powders, are there any who try to concentrate beyond the natural w/w of ~2%? according to the robot on the internet looking for concentrates is risky since it can lead to synthetic blends. is esp a bad idea if trying to hound for OM-7 (the stronger, more opoid-like chem) since theres barely any in the natural leaf. I am content with what I have but It would be more convenient to have something like 4% w/w pills
