it's not going to happen. there are approximately 500 million civilian-owned firearms in the united states, about 55% of which are handguns and about 15% are semi-automatic rifles and shotguns, i.e. the kinds of weapons that are banned outright in countries like the uk or australia, so about 350 million guns would have to be bought back by the government and the administrative overheads of doing this in a country as big and spread out as the united states would be enormous, potentially costing the government upwards of $10,000 per gun. it would cost trillions of dollars to do such a thing in the us, and that's not even to mention the widespread public outrage and civil unrest that would certainly result, or the fact that firearm manufacturers and sporting goods retailers are major multi-billion dollar industries in the united states with tremendous lobbying power by way of the nra and its legions of devoted followers. it will be a winter wonderland in the deepest reaches of hell before firearms are banned in the united states.

the US has a very intelligent system. Republicans are pro-gun, but their voting base are mentally ill violent sociopaths, ensuring that the most anti-revolutionary and dangerous people in the US have guns.

Democrats on the other hand defang all people that could've otherwise gotten into communist theory and domesticates them back into the system. These people are not only assimilated, but they're also convinced that guns are evil and the worst, so democrats have all the people that could be worth a shit turned into harmless reformists and all the most dangerous forces of reaction armed to the teeth.

that's how they present themselves sure, but when it comes to people with felony convictions and undocumented or visa holding immigrants, they pretty much unanimously reject the second amendment. about a third of all black american males and a third of all immigrants are barred from owning guns, and roughly around 15-20% of americans in the lowest income quintile (<$34,510) have a felony conviction on their record, so they can't have guns. and it's important to note that even the most minor non-violent crimes, such as possession of less than a single gram of heroin or cocaine or meth, are felony offenses in almost all republican states and in most states in general, and about 80% of all felony convictions in the us are for non-violent crimes. so republicans are not really pro-gun, they are just pro-gun for middle-class white americans. it's all bullshit. republicans don't believe in anything, us politics is all just a performance, all the pro-gun shit is just marketing, it's a way to appeal to their key demographic of middle-class white people from middle america and secure funding from the nra and libertarian super pacs.

The US has so much restrictions on the vulnerable. From people of color, neurodiversity, and paperwork background.

The current system is also trying to remove the rights for trans people on the minute chance that they might do a mass shooting despite the low percentage of them committing them.

Minorities that cannot get around firepower need to learn other skills such as archery, knife/sword skills, and marshal arts. They want us weak. We need to circumvent.
