Well the dub of Armed Girl's Machiavellism was horrendously funnyhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pA02l6BUUR4
Ruggington has a bunch of good clips on anime so awful they're funny https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTnIp_zSi5g
Word up, Mommy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QW9KBKJuBIg
Also this (someone sauce me I forgot the name)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4NH2_FA0GeA
Ironically its not ALL bad and the animation itself is smoothly done with fairly detailed backgrounds and texture. It's just excessive at times which is so jarring.
Was this done by Masaaki Yuasa?
True. How can you say it's good?
>>2563>Zero no Tsukima
I'll admit I stopped after one season, having sated my thirst for meme juice. But so far as I could tell, the story was spectacularly lacking in self-awareness, both about its ridiculously rote characters, and about its own worldbuilding (for instance, the mind-control aspects of the summoning spell on the protag, which not only kept him loyal to the tsundere, but subtly erased his desire to return home, blithely ignored except as a vehicle to propel the plot).
Something with a similar dynamic, but actually good, would be Ghost Sweeper.
I have to disagree with your reasoning, but I won't dump a rant on this (too lazy TBH). Zero's point was never to be really serious or deep, it was a simple and intentionally cliche Isekai that had fun with its gimmicks without overdoing it. It's a bit similar to Konosuba in that regard.
This looks fun, Imma watch it.
Wouldn't the tip of the blade have retained the momentum of the swing and impaled her in the face?
It sure felt
like a shitty isekai game-world.
Another is a great example. The threads on /a/ while it was airing were so much fun. It was the last time I saw some decent OC on the board before I quit.
>>2570>Free Trade Cities
<such horrendous choreography despite such fairly decent animation
holy fuck the first episode alone was hilarious.
<every time I here her introduction I just think of the soup
<I get hungry for soup
Maybe this is the anime Moot was watching way back then
what the fuck is that glitchy roll LOL
Midori Days was so wierd. A literal walking "your girlfriend is your hand" joke
The anime is short but sweet. The Manga is a lot longer running and TBH it gets a little tiresome in terms of how it treats its gags.
Netflix Original Anime lmao.
Would Miraculous Ladybug count? It was made by Toeiehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lp3Hft9sSRM
ADHD's Schoolgirl Crush is without a doubt the most autisticly accurate parody of "fighting girl" anime
Holy fuck this. I still remember that one time he was buck naked with grenades strapped to his junk and starts beating the fuck out of some equally buff niggas. That shit was a wild fucking ride.
Brings me back, you don't get anime with this quality anymore.
I remember seeing the old Manga Video VHS cassettes with all these… those were some good times. Still have Ghost in a Shell on one of them
>>3680>people say it sucks
It's a funny semi-noir, semi-80s commando anime with a policeman main character. Compared to a lot of modern single-season garbage it's great but on it's own it's just cheesy fun
Black Rock Shooter
Chargeman Ken is on a entire different level of incompetence.https://youtu.be/uczvIKDcnS4
Got that in lower resolution? My pet ants are having trouble seeing the whole picture
Chouetsu Sekai (超越世界) is one of the many anime and manga created by the Aum Shinrikyo in order to appeal to anime and manga fans. There are 10 episodes of this series in total. Asahara Shoko himself personally sings the OP and dubs the majority of the anime…
>>2859>a "brb" reference
try apocalypse zero, its nsfl
LOL i remember that one, it was actually decent imo>>2563>watch zero no tsukaima>never want to watch romance animes again
>>4517>Watch Familiar of Zero
Ok and? Conveniently ignoring the rest of the characters, story and their development is a poor argument.
This is like a shittier parody of Claymore
I felt this way about Highschool of the Dead.
Satan trips for such a post…. MFW
It's actually really good as the politics of different groups ramp up, with the absurdity you complained about neatly highlighting class absurdities in the colonial holding of a deranged monarchic empire.
Sadly, once, er… THE EVENT happens at the end of R1, the entire show immediately falls apart. I was so angry I didn't bother watching R2, but from what I've heard it's a total shitshow.
I don't know why. As I recall, the animation is decent, the plot is alright although a little cheesy, and so on. I think it's a bit janky and having watched it in drunk company, we couldn't take its serious parts seriously. Was fun, though.
It's a product of it's time and therefore comes with all the bad translation, hilarious dialogues and other material expected of it. It's a bit avante garde with a touch of otaku-cringe.
Hot take from anotheer anon: On the subject of American fetishization. Code Geass might be the most egregious example where every single country became the United States [insert country name here] (even when it makes no fucking sense like Japan) under the system of an even worse UN. Somehow weebtards still try to paint the story as anti-imperialism when the villain main scheme is the anti-communist dog whistle of “making everyone apart of a hivemind/the same”.https://codegeass.fandom.com/wiki/United_Federation_of_Nations
V was peak Tomino and the BBB corps were peak gendum
Yes, it would. Especially since it's a 90s type of cringe in 3d
I love the way this amv makes me feel. Hits me in the feels in a sort of comfy way. Vid link:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROzyMwmpjXA
webm is in the AMV thread >>3518
literally any abridged series
No it ain't >90s type
90s are aesthetically cool AF
Maybe anon meant 90s cringe as in the genre
Oh, like Jay and Silent Bob?
Well, to be precise, 90s superhero/magical girl anime for kids in a "monster of the week" format
At least that's what I'm guessing anon meant by "cringe"
That's supposed to be cringe? I mean if you execute it badly sure, but the concept itself isn't cringe or bad.
I don't agree with calling it "cringe" either.
Maybe it just looks cringeworthy to some people because it's CGI instead of traditional 2D, and because it's Western. Or maybe the humor and pacing aren't to their taste.
>>10129>It looks like it can't be anything but a literal hentai doujin
Nah it looks like a regular ol' parody. This kind is pretty common in otaku culture. Like Gakuen Handsome for example, lol
Or even that horse boyfriend game
Since they're parodies, they're intentionally bad/weird, so I don't think they count. But that's just my opinion.
Intentionally bad things like Birdemic are also counted in So Bad It's Good territory, so I think these count
I guess, but it's 3D is excellent so the issue is kinda silly.
It's fun at first, but it feels like it really drops off after Kagato.
Finally understood the connection to the original Tenchi Muyo. What a stupidly convoluted mess. The old Tenchi Muyo being better than the newer stuff is just pathetic. https://anime.astronerdboy.com/2018/08/tenchi-muyo-ryo-ohki-ova-4-episode-4.html
Also Geminar mechs >>10438
Fuck I should have saved this, that "Hyuk, Hyuk, Hyuk" and other terrible laughs are just fucking peak cringe amusement. It's from episode 05 for the first half.
The other Ruggington stuff is gone too, like those clips in general dropped off the internet.
Baki the Grappler is IMO the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure of hand to hand fighting content. It's just that ridiculous.
Also some other boxing/fighting anime (that are IMO better than Baki). https://archive.ph/xUweT
I don't see this as so bad it's good. Like it or not it's exactly what it attempts to be
A lot of this early ridiculously violent OVA stuff has a similar vibe where it's filled with gratuitous gore and nudity and not a lot of sense or polish. Koichi Ohata's stuff (MD Geist and Genocyber) used to be called the worst anime ever for pretty much this reason. But the tragedy is it's all easily more interesting than most of the shit we get today
>>10503>Ruggington is gone
My night is ruined. Goddammit.
And the new account has none of the GX clips. GODDAMMIT.
The Sub is bland and frankly boring SoL shit that has a fantasy addition. The dub is so random, unfiltered and silly that I laugh enjoy it.
I wish Tenchi Muyo would be good again. The first ova is a lot of fun, but it rapidly goes down hill.
but katanagatari was just straight great
Just admit you liked it, because it is good.
It's literally Sacred Blacksmith tier shit, hilarious and funny but objectively trash in terms of an actually good story.
The dub only made it better.
To be fair, for all its stupidity, it had an interesting premise, and the 90s/2000s style makes it a gem of so-bad-its-good.
I've never been this insanely bored watching something, the ending is litterally the only interesting part and it makes no goddamn sense, like you're telling miss useless tsundere was actually playing 5d checkers with time travel when she has done nothing this entire time ?
the animation is shit outside some very specific episodes too (and even then it's good for 2 minutes and it goes back to talking about nonsense for 10 minutes to pad out the runtime),half of them are about ininteresting randoms or they're straight up insane.
I personnaly didn't find it funny, but I can understand if somebody did.
Looking back, I don’t know if this was bad or ahead of its time…
Apocalypse Zero is a fucking masterpiece with legit great humanistic politics if you read the manga, also gets super in-your-face about Japanese war crimes and anti-nationalism. Anime focused more on the action-comedy but it's still good.
It's a perfect optimistic companion piece to Shigurui.>>3680
Mad Bull manga is fantastic, anime is pretty good, Crying Freeman sadly sucks and removes a lot of the comedy from the manga >>5169>>3608
Geist is legitimately good too though definitely very rough; I feel that its "beginner director" traits help as much as harm it though.>>3622
Devilman Crybaby is flawed but worthwhile (just read the manga first), Spriggan is super underrated and anti-imperialist in a great way.
