What do you think about the Obsolete anime? It's really cool and well realized, it explores how these alien mechs would actually be used in different circumstances. I really liked the anti-imperialists, they were so cool and I like their mech designs. I just wish that they were the main characters, they have so much more going on with their idea of the mechs being able to topple the west and level the playing field, rather than boring Amerikkkan area 51 marines which the show obviously focuses on.
The part where Abrams tanks got owned by jumpers equiped with RPGs was kino.
>>26161I liked it a lot. I enjoyed how they tried to explain how these cheap and plentiful machines were changing asymmetrical warfare worldwide. The kids learning to work as a unit while they learned to improve their machines was probably my favorite arc. I wish there was a sequel or just more anime focused on smaller, more mobile mecha, but I cant help but feel I am watching the slow decline of a genre. Maybe I am wrong though, as VOTOMS and Ghost in the Shell will be returning with new stuff this year.
Only thing I didn't like was the shitty frame rates but I think that's become pretty common in the cell shaded CGI times we live in.
