Yeah man. I liked anime and transformers and marvel when I was a kid. Tired of all these adult kids cartoon freaks.

>>27014
Also as an American, anime is freaky and disgusting. All our kid's are learning American culture through an engrish translator. That shit is funny as a cargo cult when it's over there, but the people of the original culture are joining the cargo cult? Wtf?

>>27016
Fucking citypop and k-pop and whatever temu knock off. Ou know Americans write and produce so much of that shit? Because all they want to do is sound American. Same with britpop and big beat and whatever for that matter.

>>27017
That's why we always need words like Brit-pop Italo-disco French-house etc. but American music needs no American-prefix to it.

For that matter the word anime is engrish. On an American board and we wouldn't even use the word in our language. Instead we use the bastardization of non-english speakers:
>>27016
>but the people of the original culture are joining the cargo cult? Wtf?

Shit why not do it for all words.
>shittu wai nottu duitsu itsu foru arru wurutsu?

>>27018
What about regional scenes, like midwest emo and madchester?

>>27014
lol they used AI because no artist would take the commission or they were too cheap to put any money in trying to get recruits when no one is joining anymore. But I dont understand, why is there so many Asians there? Where was this photo taken?

>>27021
You raise an interesting question. Unfortunately I think this was before AI slop took off so I think an actual human made that garbage. But where is this photos? Maybe in a Chinatown or it's literally in Japan or South Korea? You can see the decor on the building is Asian. And why are they selling American novelty license plates? That seems like something Asians would do.

>>27022
Ok it was South Korea, I've seen and posted this photo many times and I never noticed it was SK. Thanks anon. More cargo cult shit.

meant to have the zoom in on the random American license plates.

Imagine being an American worshiping America but filtered through South Korea and Japan. Crakkker, you're already here where the action is. USA.

Dont care didn't read posting Teto

clearly you didnt come here to talk about the revolution because you instantly threw a fit over someone posting a japanese cartoon screenshot instead of just making a thread about the revolution so that you can discuss it.

dumbass.

>>27019
>For that matter the word anime is engrish.
no. anime is japanese for animation. we use the word anime in the west in order to differentiate it from western animation, because we have eyes and can recognize that there is a stylistic and cultural difference between western and eastern animation. we use the word "anime" because it makes a lot of sense to refer to their animation using the word they would use for it, as it would be strange to make up an entirely new word when an existing word that fits into our language just fine already exists.

>Shit why not do it for all words.

because not all words are specifically referring to a part of japanese culture. we DO use japanese words to refer to japanese things tho. very commonly. we also do this for a myriad of other languages. in in fact, out of all the borrowed words we have here in america, anime is actually the LEAST random and pointless of them all. at least "anime" is a japanese word used explicitly to refer to a japanese things. meanwhile people say shit like "gesundheit" for no actual reason every single day. im willing to bet people dont even know what "gesundheit" actually means, but im sure that's less offensive to you because gesundheit comes from a language spoken by white people, right?

>>27825
>anime is japanese for animation.
Yeah and it's Engrish.
>we use the word anime in the west in order to differentiate it from western animation, because we have eyes and can recognize that there is a stylistic and cultural difference between western and eastern animation.
There is a stylistic and cultural difference between American and British animation and American and French animation, but we don't call French cartoons l'animation, that would be pretentious and stupid.
> as it would be strange to make up an entirely new word when an existing word that fits into our language just fine already exists.
There always was: Japanese cartoons, Japanese animation.

>>27825
>meanwhile people say shit like "gesundheit" for no actual reason every single day.
People say sayonara too.

>>27826
>and it's Engrish.
nope. it's an actual japanese word! in fact, in terms of pronunciation it actually lines up perfectly with the english language! if anything, it is just a shortened word. it is no more "engrish" than it would be to say "sam" instead of "samantha"

>There is a stylistic and cultural difference between American and British animation

their humor is slightly different. that's about it. I watch a lot of british TV. I also watch a lot of american TV. the difference is extremely miniscule, and the themes and ideas are basically the same. america literally shares 90% of its history with england, what with us literally being one of their colonies.
>There always was: Japanese cartoons, Japanese animation.
do you keep this energy with ALL borrowed words? do you do this for words english borrowed, too? Do you throw a bitch fit when you hear people say things like "deja vu?" do you cry like a bitch when people say "hasta la vista?"

just admit you hate asians, dude. this is pathetic.

>>27827
>Do you throw a bitch fit when you hear people say things like "deja vu?" do you cry like a bitch when people say "hasta la vista?"
I already gave you an example:
>People say sayonara too.

But you're picking apples and oranges. What are you going to start calling Japanese cars, "kuruma," because they're built different? No because that would be absurd.

>>27828
you are one of the most pathetic people i have ever seen. i KNOW you haven't been outside your house for anything other than groceries or your job for at least 3 months. you sound pathetic. you're so incredibly isolated from the world that basic concepts of normal communication are upsetting you.

you genuinely need help, and i am neither willing nor able to give you the help you need. i suggest either a therapist or a rope. both will solve your problem.

>What car do I drive? I think you are mistaken sir, cars are the boxy, hemi-inside, muscle mobiles, you uncultured American swine drive.
>This is a kuruma made in Japan and adhering to the highest standards of takumi.

>>27829
You are the only one who appears to be upset.

>>27831
seeing people as sad and pathetic as you would make anybody that loves humanity upset

im upset because i love you and want you to do better for yourself.

>>27832
I think concern trolling is pretty pathetic, but I was discussing a non-personal subject, not you, so I didn't feel the need to bring it up. Imagine getting distraught because someone doesn't like anime.

>>27010
Anti-anime sentiment will get you charged with sluggish schizophrenia and thrown in a padded cell for your own safety under the DoTP

>>27010
go back

>>27012

>>27833
Concern trolling is the main form of politics.
It's very patronizing.

>>27016
>>27017
>>27014
If you're gonna get upset about anime why not Western animation with superheroes?

>>28044
I never liked superheros and as I get older I like them even less

OP searchs for the dark-skinned_male tag in secret

>>27010
You are a weeb fishing for a reaction

So what? I don't bitch and moan seeing stuff from shows I dont care for instead of making a scene like a spoilt brat.

>>27822
Really? I thought things were worse back then. Not saying that it's peachy now but still

>>27827
Most Britishness in humor is mainly in the accents and excessive verbosity.
