>MHA has saved shonen, it won't disappoint us like Naruto did
>JJK has saved shonen, it won't disappoint us like MHA did
>CSM has saved shonen, it won't disappoint us like JJK did
>Dandadan has saved shonen, etc.

They never learn.

I realize the timeline here is simplified but you get the point.

When did shonen die? Every manga that's popular is shonen

How did CSM disappoint? I stopped reading part 2 after the aquarium date.

Who is out here expecting DdD or CSM to save shonen? The shonen market is totally oversaturated, the bubble needs to pop already.

I just stumbled across my first "CSM was never good" post from an ex-fan. I'm telling you, the cycle does not fail. Like clockwork. I don't even agree with that it's just funny that this keeps happening.

Not so much an unpopular genre as one whose flagship releases are stuck in a perpetual loop of disappointing endings followed by promising new beginnings.

Stagnated mostly, doesn't really feel like it's going anywhere.

People are constantly doing it dude, "Fujimoto would never!" was a common refrain when criticizing other shonens that were ending around the same time.
