Are there any animes about cold war you would recommend? It does not have to be %100 realistic. I just want your ideas. Which one will give the best experience? I would be very happy if you recommend one of them
“The Place Promised in Our Early Days” isn’t exactly about the Cold War, but in an alternate universe where Japan gets divided into a Russian-occupied north and American-occupied south, or kind of.
“Master Keaton” by Naoki Urasawa is a good period anime, although its setting is mostly cold-war era Europe. Monster, by the same author, is technically set after the fall of the Berlin Wall, but much of its story is rooted in the Cold War so I think that counts, and so are 20th century boys and Asadora! albeit the two are centred in Japan compared to the earlier works.
