Can socialism and antinatalism coexist?

I read this and still had a kid. At the end of the day, humankind is here and the will to live is powerful. I do not believe in God but I do believe in the ability for humans to make their own lives better and to reduce suffering while still existing. Not existing cannot meaningfully be better than existing because non existence by definition cannot be experienced.

Socialism cannot be anti natalist because Socialism is about building a better future for humanity, not eliminating humankind from existence. You also cannot maintain the productive forces necessary to transition to socialism while dwindling the human population down to nothing. Ironically any real systemic attempt at anti natalism, i.e. total forced sterilization of all humans, whether they want it or not, would fail. You'd end up with Children of Men situation. Eventually someone would have a baby. And even if you got rid of all humans, sentience, sapience, cognition, and civilization will continue to evolve into existence elsewhere in the universe. Life happens.

I am going to admit i have some pretty strong doubts that the kids are going to survive well once they turn 20 and we start seeing like a solid 40% of the older population dying off and industrial society starts seriously collapsing.

this is why antinatalists are delusional. you really think everyone would just die off with the collapse of industrial society even though our species survived being hunter gatherers for 200,000 years. You think killing humanity solves some philosophical "problem of suffering" even though the universe will continue to generate suffering animals and sentient creatures through evolution.
