In 1992 the Church of Euthanasia started with a simple goal, to end humanity. Its founders, Chris Korda and Robert Kimberk were staunch environmentalists and nihilists who expressed their view of the world in art and protest movements. The group came under heavy scrutiny in the early 2000s for posting a montage of the 9/11 attacks with the title “I like to watch”. They also faced legal trouble when a 52 year old woman committed suicide using instructions they posted on their website.
The church has 4 key pillars, abortion, cannibalism, sodomy, and suicide, all intended to deal with the immense biowaste that we represent. Unlike the voluntary human extinction movement (“may we live long and die out”), the Core took more direct stances with messages like “save the planet, kill yourself”.
