First thread I've ever made here. I'm really interested in graphic design and I make shitty flags all the time. Therefore: Post your flags, your logos, your posters, your whatever. Or you can post cool shit you found - point is, post some based shit.

>Lefty shit is best, but if you think it's cool, post.

Sorry, it was the flag for the US occupied Philippines.
>His 1901 essay To the Person Sitting in Darkness was not an anti-American polemic, but a broad critique of western colonial imperialism. In it, he satirizes the colonial powers' claims to be bringing "civilization" to the "dark" corners of the globe. This and his other writings clearly show his disgust with American colonial-imperial policy and with atrocities committed during the insurrection. He mocked the American general Leonard Wood (who has a base named after him in Missouri) and praised the Filipino leader Aguinaldo.

>It was in this sarcastic essay that he wrote:

<"And as for the flag for the Philippine Province, it is easily arranged. We can have a special one - our States do it: we can have just our usual flag, with the white stripes painted black and the stars replaced by the skull and cross-bones."

Yeah he didn't like what Teddy Roosevelt was doing in the Philippines and even joined the 'Anti-Imperialist League' as a means of protest. Domestic opposition to American expansion into the Pacific and Gulf of Mexico started early.

I think I've found a solution to the problem of appropriating old US flag symbology without reproducing its colonialist connotations for a future socialist America. The inner chevron represents the revolutionary workers under the leadership of the vanguard part represented by the outer red "shield", the white strips represents clarity, truth and materialism guiding the people towards progress, with all of the stripes together representing the American peoples "fast-forwarding" into the future from the capitalist dark ages. The blue I think is supposed to represent common prosperity or something relating to the Pacific and the Atlantic, not so sure about it but I think it looks cool nonetheless. I was mainly inspired by the flags of other Caribbean countries such as Puerto Rico and Cuba while aiming to overall make it very simple-looking and easy to reproduce.

What do you think about it? Hope my description doesn't sound too LARPy.

Not bad at all, but the colors are a bit too bright imo and I feel like it looks preeeetty similar to the Patriot Front flag, though yours looks better balanced and way less crowded

Imo, the current US flag looks too dim for my taste so I was looking to make something that felt a much brighter and optimistic but maybe I've overdone it in the opposite direction a bit.

As for the similarity with the PF flag, I don't think their flag would fit as a state flag and regardless I think not having a big fasces on my flag helps distinguish mine from theirs pretty easily.
