Right wing politics and psychology Anonymous 24-04-26 04:25:07 No. 25913
This thread is for discussing the psychology of right wing politics eg for example why men are more likely to be right wing than women on average perspectives are welcomed including non-leftist perspectives

>why men are more likely to be right wing than women on average We can look at I.Q. distribution and education results, to show that the less educated you are, the more likely you are to be conservative, while the opposite is also true. We can thus say that on average, right-wing males are less intelligent than left-wing males, with males in general also being less intelligent than women (women are mostly midwits, while men are largely either idiots or geniuses, with a limited sample for midwittery). Thus, if we correlate lack of general intelligence with right-wing politics, it makes sense why men are more right-wing than women. Also, due to the cultural hegemony of the left, it is higher status to be left-wing than right-wing. Many low-status males (e.g. autists, incels, NEETs) are thus more validated in right-wing politics, which collects around disenfranchised individuals (i.e. more losers on the right, and men are bigger losers than women). So, we can explain the deviation of politics between the genders by (i) general intelligence and (ii) status. Men are more likely to be stupid and low-status than women. To expand the point on status; being "right-wing" is not a positive belief in anything, but is simply a vice-signal against the ruling hegemony, while virtue-signalling is appreciated as conformity to ruling sentiments. Thus, being "right-wing" is not about "ideas" per se, but about a relationship to cultural norms in the liberal west. Conversely, being left-wing has no relationship to ideas, but is only about loyalty to the liberal hegemony. I would characterise these modes of interface as scaled by "conformity" which can be measured by social intelligence, correlating to language. Thus, the right can tend toward denotative semiotics while the left is connotative. This causes difficulties on both sides for the sake of general communication; for example, "what is a woman?" Neither right or left is satisfactory to me.

Many things are fake in this world but autism score is the fakest of them all.

>>25921 Pew Research Center:
<Highly educated adults – particularly those who have attended graduate school – are far more likely than those with less education to take predominantly liberal positions across a range of political values. And these differences have increased over the past two decades. https://www.pewresearch.org/politics/2016/04/26/a-wider-ideological-gap-between-more-and-less-educated-adults/ Variability Hypothesis:
<The variability hypothesis, also known as the greater male variability hypothesis, is the hypothesis that human males generally display greater variability in traits than human females do [including cognition]. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Variability_hypothesis Supporting Article 1:
<In the majority of countries, male variability is higher than female variability in both reading and math. https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.1162573 Supporting Article 2:
<Males are more variable on most measures of quantitative and visuospatial ability, which necessarily results in more males at both high- and low-ability extremes https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4270278/ People have also looked at I.Q. distribution in the races between its general and marginal distribution. Mongolians, for example, have a higher average I.Q. than Caucasians in the US, which is in correlation to higher neonatality. This is also a narrower I.Q. band, like women. The significance of this is in culture, where creativity is correlative to variable I.Q. (not average I.Q.). For example, whites and blacks in the US are more inventive groups than East Asians, despite their higher average I.Q. and monopoly in test scores - so the variability of I.Q. is an advantage (e.g. a sample of smart and stupid people). We see in the late 19th century, African-Americans rival Anglos and Germans in filing for patents:
<With 50,000 total patents, Black people accounted for more inventions during this period than immigrants from every country except England and Germany. In our database, 87% of inventions were traced to people born in the United States, and 2.7% of the U.S. total were invented by Black Americans, which is a larger share than nearly every immigrant group. https://www.brookings.edu/articles/the-black-innovators-who-elevated-the-united-states-reassessing-the-golden-age-of-invention/ How many inventions by Mongolians, I wonder?

In addition to the raised points on autism score, big 5 personality traits have good correlations: low openness, mid-high conscientiousness (rule following), low agreeableness, generally low neuroticism = rightoid traits, opposite profile = leftist traits.
