hello!! i am not used at all to imageboards but im getting a small interest, i am (probably) going to study economics next year and i will have plenty of time between the end of school and the start of college

tl;dr i identify w maoism and want to learn more abt it and marxism in general, however i am a lazy fuck, the revision of the capital i got has like 600 pages

You are a child who needs to learn how to read.
Sit down and read a book. Any book. A short book. A fun book. A short fun book. Now think about that book. Write about that book. Now pick up another. Repeat the process. Do this enough times until an unabridged version of capital isn’t scary.

>i identify w maoism
No, you don't. You don't know about Maoism enough to "identify" with it. You shouldn't identify with anything. Sorry if this sounds rude, but if you treat this as an identity question, you'll stunt your intellectual growth and political effectiveness.
You should read. Read at your own pace about whatever you're curious about. You're a child of the working class I'm assuming, so that's who you are, a worker. I also recommend tuning in to different Marxist views of all political lines and talking with Marxists as you get questions etc.

to be honest, yes, i really need to learn how to read a book thoroughly, thank you i guess

>>26378

yeah i know, its not about identity though, if all i wanted was to feel as if i belong somewhere, i would be doing what my parents always told me and be defending bolsonaro and saying communist killed melons wtv wtv

point is, i do not believe in liberal economy and nor do i believe in capitalism, and i find china to be a very good contemporary example of socialism working efficiently

so i think it is a good example, even though one could say that what china does now isnt really communism, i think what they do now is good, and i wanted my nation and others to think like that, to solve their problems like that

i probably sound like a retarded child, but i hope you understand what i mean, sorry i guess

What are you going to read first? Why are you still posting? Read books and think about them and you’ll be able to articulate your personal Maoism with great ease. Until then you’ll think yourself stupid and other anons won’t disagree. I believe in you.

I get it, all good.
Whether China is capitalist or socialist or both or neither is up to debate, and often times it's a semantic one, I wouldn't worry about it. What matters is what China is and what can be learned from it. You'll probably learn MMT and Neokeynesian bullshit at college, which is fine, and it's good to be educated on liberal economics. But do not forget to study Marxism as well.
I think video related is a good starter on Das Kapital. It's a very good channel. But watching videos is not education, you need to read and to write and to debate and be wrong and corrected by others.

im still posting because, well i should probably stop now and go read lol
and what i'll read, probably the capital and then the communist manifesto? then hop either to marx's other texts, or to something focused on maiost thought, i will get this base done first before really putting a label on myself

and thank you for believing in me, i hope i dont disappoint you lol

>>26382
i will put this on right now probably, ty for the recommendation!!

>>26383
The manifesto is much shorter and easier than capital, my friend.

>>26385
oh rly? well, i'll start w that then, thank you!!
