Recent games I played are
Mount and Blade: Warband - 2009
Battle for Middle Earth - 2004
Battle Engine Aquila - 2003
Far Cry 2 - 2008
Warcraft 2 - 1996

For years I was unable to play never games because my old laptop could not run them, and when I upgraded many of the games I was excited about turned out to be shit, so I just went back to playing old games.

Retro games are pretty much all I play nowadays, gaming died for me around 2015. It's always good to know there's so much stuff released in the past I never had the chance to explore :)
Recently beat KOTOR 2, one of the most fascinating games I ever played thanks to Kreia, and I'm currently replaying Morrowind.

I love being a zoomer and playing old games that older people hype up.
I just had a protracted defensive siege in Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri where I was able to fight off the Spartans and retake a base by funneling some sacrificial troops to the front and finally training up some advanced artillery/infantry.

Always enjoyed “older” games more in certain ways or another. Most of what I play nowadays are either indie games, or games that are from the 2000s or 90s.

Currently I am playing CRPG called Avernum, as well as Final Fantasy 1 (the pixel remaster but still). As well as the Jak trilogy.

Only new games that interested me in the list many years were Baldurs Gate 3 and The Hundred Line.

Unique IPs: 16
