I 'member playing Nanosaur on a Mac in elementary school. I think you play as a laser armed, jetpack equippred raptor sent back in time to retrieve dinosaur eggs. Sadly I never finished it.
I also used to have the first Fossil Fighters on the DS. It's basically Pokemon but with various prehistoric animals. Even has its own dopey team rocket equivalent that eventually gets replaced by a world destroying threat.
