I've seen some posts talking about how amazing the games are and I want to play them. I don't know if I should get the original 3 separate games or the legendary edition, any suggestions?
(pic unrelated)

Legendary. For 2 and 3 it basically does not matter, the changes are non-perceivable. Mass Effect 1 Legendary edition greatly improves combat, which was awful in original game. However the graphical updates do not always respect original art direction, ruining atmosphere of certain moments. It also does not include one DLC (source code got corrupted), but it is just a combat arena with no story. Still, Legendary edition turned Mass Effect 1 from my least favorite in the series to favorite.
Also Legendary Edition unlocks all difficulties, previously you had to finish the games once to be able to select the highest. I would not recommend picking it for Mass Effect 2 though, it becomes unbearable slog on insane. Fine for other two though.

Anyway, very good series. Peak video game space opera. The most disappointing ending ever, as you probably heard.

Just play andromedia genius. Its the last one they made and duringvthat short window of xbox one before video games are trash

I mean other than outriders and once human of course. Then even i had to get a working version of once human to even exist

>>45825
Yeah, despite that disappointing ending, I do think they're worth a playthrough. Post ME3, the only game that ever got close to scratching that old Bioware itch for me was Baulders Gate 3.

I don't know if >>45832 is trolling or not, but definitely avoid Andromeda, it's only maybe worth a try if you already finished the original trilogy. While the combat is decently fun in Andromeda, everything else is below average.

>how amazing the games are
Mass Effect is a series where you play as a woke NATO cop who works as a PMC manager to maintain the homogenized-globalization interracial fascist project, focusing on the continuation of the eugenics Malthusian sterilization of an ethnic minority who refuses to integrate into the cosmic Jeffrey Epstein finance imperium

>The genophage is a significant plot element in the Mass Effect series, particularly affecting the Krogan species. It is a bioweapon designed to control the Krogan population due to their aggressive nature and overpopulation issues.

>Purpose and Impact
>Population Control: The genophage drastically reduces the birth rate of Krogan, making it difficult for them to reproduce.
>Political Tool: It serves as a means for the galactic government to manage the Krogan, reflecting themes of power and control.
>Neoliberal Themes
>Resource Management: The genophage exemplifies neoliberal ideologies by treating populations as resources to be managed rather than as individuals with rights.
>Militarism and Governance: The use of the genophage highlights the intersection of military power and biopolitics, where the state exerts control over life and death.

<The virus was meant to keep the Krogan population in check to prevent them from starting a war they'd likely win due to their superior numbers. It is a highly sensitive subject for all involved, but is it the right decision to cure it? There is a lot to factor into the choice of curing the genophage

I imagine Jeffrey Epstein's emails with Bill Gates or Elon Musk talked about this sci-fi genetic engineering neoliberalism about reducing the number of Africans or whatever
