so like the guy is accusing Nes of being very dense, but the context implies that it's just pretentious blabber, keep in mind that the game was made in the 90s during an economic boom, the zeitgeist was optimism and the end of history. most people who talked about the collapse of capitalism probably looked a bit stupid then, and that was how you were supposed to read that dialogue box: as making fun of intellectuals who are so open minded their brain is leaking out of their nostrils.

Was it really? I know how the fanbase is but if you play the game casually I don't remember it being that in your face. There was the gay guards. They wouldn't care about the fish/dino lesbian ship. The mew mew thing came later and was a secret. Maybe I forgot it's been awhile.

Anyway this reminds me of when people wondered how so many MLP fans could be right-wing ancaps/fascists when the show supposedly goes against that.
