Who else there hates Jeff the Killer and Sonic.EXE with burning passion for compleely ruining the reputation of collaborative online horror fiction (popularily known as "creepypasta") as a credible, serious form of art during the 2010s?

But who was phone?

I used to be a fan of Internet horror during my college years (which were precisely late 2010s) before eventually growing out of it.

However, until this day I am sad that there are some real gems of stories out there which make Stephen King look like a repetitve hack in comparison, but they are all invisible to the majority of internet audiences due to being overshadowed by massive loads of dogshit that are Jeff and EXonic.

"But who was phone?" is at least a geniunely dumb funny parody on a certain subgenre of creepypastas. Jeff is not even funny, unless you are the sort of people who finds Tommy Wiseau's Room a funny movie (and even Tommy Wiseau himself wouldn't find Sonic.EXE funny or engaging story)

Post some.

Real ones remember Ben Drowned

Eh I think the more recent wave of "analog horror" was worse. Everything now is just smile tapes quality trash.

Well Gemini Home Entertainment and Local 58 were good ones.

Just some videos that i like about sonic exe that might convince you that sonic exe is cool even in 2025.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VY-R8okhMx0 "The Misunderstood """Canon""" of Sonic.EXE", there is no canon, but some people like to do crossovers and continuities with different sonic.exes. Some of the OCs are cool.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtAdiNmtRyw "This Sonic.EXE Game Changed EVERYTHING" Sonic spirits of hell is cool too i remember watching videos on youtube as a kid to see all the endings.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HK279xj_qiU "I Was Wrong About Sonic.exe", look, this streamer said some exe games are cool. Internet culture is starting to think sonic is cool again, i don't think it will last much longer, but still, cool.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eyf7mMhjYNE "sonic exe memes", pretty funny and cool.

bonus video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9Vic2ZxUKE "Kart Racing Brain Rot (FT. SnapCube, Mar Katoto, and Jonii Vee)"

Who, other than you, ever considered creepypasta a credible, serious form of art?

Those were decent because they were more than just shitty still images with a vhs filter on it while amazing grace plays

Even the best creepypastas were kind of mid tbh, though there was a magic to the newness of their subjects and storytelling methods. It is what it is, though, I guess. Even pulp fiction magazines had stricter quality control than borderline-anarchic internet communities competing for 5 minutes of viral fame.
