Any tips on game design and/or learning how to code? I feel like I want to make a video game for a while but I’ve realised that it’s basically useless to make one unless it’s to make money, can Marxists/communists make indie games? I just kinda want to put my ideas for characters and world building into something at the end of the day

don't listen to the person above me, game engines are too limiting, you should use a framework instead. preferably one based around c++, or even just c. actually, forget that, you should just program everything on assembly like the guy who made rollercoster tycoon
jokes aside i think godot is the best engine for beginners. unity was/is going through an enshitfication process and unreal is just too much bloat
