>>2304838Your unsaid premise is that the power structure itself will not change and that a protest will only get some people in power on your side. Liberals see protest as a begging.
But the idea of violent protest is to change the power structure itself.
>>2304838>Non-violent protests will ensure that media and other antagonistic forces struggle to find reasons to attack you.Except that's nonsense. We saw with occupy that even if the movement's entirely non-violent they'll just make shit up and attack you anyway.
It's been decades of fucking non-violent protests that brought us to this point. This is what they've accomplished. Get out of my fucking face with that bullshit.
>>2304863>>2304855>>2304860>Notable instances where Gene Sharp’s From Dictatorship to Democracy played a documented role in peaceful transitions:1. Serbia (2000) – Overthrow of Milosevic
>The student movement Otpor! in Belgrade adopted Sharp’s handbook as a core training resource. They printed and distributed From Dictatorship to Democracy widely—citing it as “by the book”
>Otpor! credited Sharp’s tactics—strikes, mock elections, mass mobilization—for contributing to the “Bulldozer Revolution” that removed Slobodan Milosevic .2. Georgia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus (2000s) – "Color Revolutions"
>Pro-democracy youth groups like Kmara (Georgia), PORA (Ukraine), KelKel (Kyrgyzstan), and Zubr (Belarus) explicitly used Sharp’s methods.3. Burma/Myanmar (1990s)
>The original Burmese-language edition of From Dictatorship to Democracy circulated covertly among pro-democracy activists. Possession of the booklet was punishable by up to seven years in prison 4. Eastern Europe—Baltic States (Early 1990s)
>Sharp and his colleagues conducted workshops and training with Lithuanian separatists in Sweden and Lithuania, credited by Lithuanian officials for supporting the independence movement 5. Arab Spring (2010–2012) – Tunisia & Egypt
>Activists in Egypt (e.g., April 6 Youth Movement) and Tunisia made extensive use of Sharp’s 198 methods of nonviolent action.
>April 6 members mentioned having read Sharp’s work, with some traveling to Serbia for training
>His booklet was available in Arabic, posted by the Muslim Brotherhood during the 2011 revolution >>2304887And watching too many cartoons.

>>2304925The one in LA is right next to the county Jail which is right next to Union Station and the central Metro offices.
T. used to travel through Union station everyday.
>>2304934>Wow public transportation in my city is such a joke.It was pretty shit in LA. I dunno, it was alright. I used to travel from CalStateLA to Pasadena everyday. There was also a bus that passed through Alhambra and shit but the traffic was bad. There was a dedicated bus lane that went from CalState LA to Union Station and then from there the Gold Line to Pasadena. It was nice because it was usually never too crowded and the train ride is all above ground and the view along the way is gorgeous. The seats are very uncomfortable though, I used to try to sleep in the chair and then when the train slowed down at a station I would hit the back of my head on the metal bar headrest.
My dad also worked for the MTA at that time so I got unlimited free MTA transport. I still eventually ended up driving lol.

On the other hand, when violent armed groups in Hong Kong push for regime change, the US ruling class provides support, funding and publicity.

And a minor happening it seems to be. Online I've seen a lot of people not supporting the protests (which might be a bias). It's only happening in one city. And I was watching Channel 5 interviewing people where they say they were thinking of going to pride and then coming back to the anti-ice protests. People who are serious about enacting change in a contingency don't go to another event which is primarily social, and then go back to rioting.
Not to mention that these things affect a small percentage of the population. The US is a highly individualistic fascistic society. If they gassed the immigrants, dems will do a minute of silence for them during brunch for a full year but that's about it.

>Trump’s Fascist-Anarchism
Trump and the Republican party espouse both fascism and anarchism; therefore, on a profoundly fundamental level, Trump and his fellow Republicans contradict themselves. The rot of contradiction runs through them from top to bottom.
Fascism contains many tell-tale attributes:
Fascists fetishize power.
They practice a cult of personality.
They promote masculine strength.
They see criticism as treasonous.
They try to bully opponents.
They wrap themselves in military symbols.
They present themselves as unquestionable experts in any field or endeavor.
They will not allow anyone to challenge them in foreign or domestic affairs.
Their leader is always right, no matter what he says (Fascist leaders are never women).
They often travel in attack units using repurposed military vehicles, war flags, and military fatigues to intimidate the opposition.
They use unrelenting, legal, and illegal means to quash opposition thinking.
Any of this sound familiar? Cult of personality? Check. Masculine strength display? Check. Using military paraphernalia? Check. Check, check, and check. Clearly, Trump and Republicans embrace fascism. However, this worldview presents problems because their fascist characteristics run headlong into anarchism.
Let’s have a look:
Anarchists wants to tear down governmental organizations
Anarchists say only individuals can create cooperative social structures
Anarchists reject all state structures because they promote the sovereignty of the individual, as opposed to a state that does things on their behalf, such as pothole repair, regulating medications, and overseeing interstate commerce.
Anarchists want to break up governments they claim steal power from the individual.
Anarchists promote free association where no party or leader tells them what to think.
Anarchists oppose governmental planners because they think individuals can make their own plans on every topic.
Anyone who knows what fascism and anarchism mean realizes fascist-anarchism cannot hold together. One person cannot promote fascist-anarchism without fact blindness and willful self-deception followed by terminal chaos. No party, no person, no nation can espouse fascist-anarchism because it wars with itself. Nevertheless, the Republicans preach both fascism and anarchism.
More can be said about fascism and anarchism; however, it is time to highlight the Trump-Republican internal confusion.
The Trump-Republican Internal Confusion
Fascist Republicans support robust governmental agencies that give their leader king-like powers. In opposition, Anarchist Republicans have for years been dismantling government agencies. Look at Project 2025 where they plan to eliminate the following: the Departments of Education, FBI, Environmental Protection Agency, The Federal Reserve, The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, Head Start, Corporation for Public Broadcasting, Public Service Loan Forgiveness, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and others.
Fascist Republicans swim in a cult of Trumpian personality, worshiping his every pronouncement as though he were their Savior. Anarchist Republicans never look up to anyone, eschewing kings, leaders, and “saviors” because they rely on themselves alone.
No political entity can be both fascist and anarchist at once. A person or a party must choose between these two things:
Either (A) a fascist dictatorship where individuals bow to the supreme leader, think of Hitler and ᴉuᴉlossnW,
Or (B) an anarchist state where isolated individuals stand helpless against corporate greed, mob actions, and bullies of all stripes, think of Free-Staters and Lord of the Flies.
Nevertheless, Trump and his Republicans want them both at the same time.
Fascists might try to appease anarchists by strengthening only some agencies; however, such cherry-picking won’t suit those pesky anarchists. Anarchist Republicans would say less government means less government; not creating “some” warehouses full of shock agents ready to attack.
The Republican strong-man government vs the Republican anti-government conflict does not so much resemble an unstoppable object hitting an immovable object as it resembles two hopelessly confused objects uselessly banging into each other. Nothing good, productive, safe, healthy, or economically sound can come from them. In such a Republican fascist-anarchist world, things fall apart and the center cannot hold because their internal contradiction generates nothing but chaos, confusion, and bedlam.
>>2305650She sure seems to be skipping a lot of people, if there's so many zionist flags everywhere why isn't she doing one shot. >>2305834>A few dozen anarkiddies are "overwhelming" the LAPD and forcing the president to send the national guard and the marines. If they can do it, why cant you?Because they aren't doing it.
This is a top down situation where the Trump admin has been creating the conditions for this to happen and has intentionally "over reacted". At no point were they not in control, they are normalizing an escalation in the violence, the cruelty and the presence of an internal enemy. As you get more organized, or if you don't the glowies will put plants in your place, that internal enemy to blame for unrest will be named as communists, then socialists and ultimately related to foreigners and China to complete the red scare.
>>2305834to be fair, "anarchist" is a pretty common term used for any rioter, regardless of political orientation.
though of the people in the streets explicitly repping an ideology (not just a single political cause like Abolish ICE or Palestine, etc), i am still seeing more anarchists than anyone else

>>2305913>It's only the first year of the termIt is the last term of the Trump clownshow. Whatever MAGA survives after Trump, won't be nearly the same. So it wouldn't surprise if the US wants to make the most of it. Considering that Trump will also take to the grave all the ills of his terms as he was always framed in this exceptional manner.
So far it's Trump's admin which (again, through the clownshow) has normalized the cold war protectionism, the explicit hierarchy of the military bloc around the US and the need for militarism to fight in the cold war. And the presence of any number of internal enemies, not just "others" to scapegoat as is the norm for the culture war, but a constant threat of foreigners and worse "ideologues" that threaten USAno society.
Seems like Trump's policies are being very useful for the wider agenda of the USA.
