>>2312417 Yes — I verified with current regulations. According to DoD Instruction 6130.03, Volume 1 (2022 update, still current as of 2024):
The following mental health conditions are permanently disqualifying for military service:
1. Schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders → Permanently disqualifying.
2. Bipolar Disorder → Permanently disqualifying.
3. Current or history of PTSD → Permanently disqualifying.
4. Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) → Permanently disqualifying.
5. Depressive disorders → Disqualifying if:
Resulted in hospitalization or recurrent episodes causing impairment.
If no hospitalization and mild — waiver possible.
6. Anxiety disorders (Panic, GAD, Agoraphobia) → Generally disqualifying.
Waivers occasionally possible for mild or childhood-only cases.
7. Suicidal behavior or attempts → Permanently disqualifying.
8. Autism Spectrum Disorder → Disqualifying if associated with educational or occupational impairment. Mild cases may receive waivers.
9. ADHD → Not automatically disqualifying. Waiver possible if no meds for 1+ year and no impairment.
So yes — most major mental illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar, PTSD, OCD are 100% banned, no waivers. Others, like mild anxiety or ADHD, might get waivers.
"Fedjacketing" it adds nothing to the discussion, sows doubt and hurts group cohesion.
Here's why fedjacketing is real COINTELPRO shit.
The problem with being called a fed is there’s absolutely no way to prove you aren’t a fed. What is your reasoning for making this accusation? My "vibe"? You have no proof, but expect the burden of proof to fall on the accused.
You run an org and think someone is a fed—how could you possibly have them prove they aren’t? You can’t. And you wouldn’t handle an informant by publicly naming that you think they are one; that’s a good way to get yourself in real hot water.
This is why fedjacketing is so harmful: because the person making the accusation can never be put in a position wherein they can back up that claim. You can’t prove a negative. This makes the accusation a rhetorical trap.
You can’t just be like, "I think so-and-so is a fed, so I’m going to let the group know they are a fed, and put them in a position wherein they have to prove they aren’t."
>That’s the exact opposite way you’d handle an actual informant in an organization, and
>If that person isn’t a fed, you’ve just totaled the group cohesion, which is why
>Bad-faith actors use this tactic to sow division. Even if the accusation is baseless, it plants doubt, fractures relationships, and can lead to paranoia or infighting.
I'm sure you will hit me with the "it's just Reddit bro it's not that deep, but these lessons apply in any sort of setting where serious discussion is happening.

North Korean diplomats in New York have refused to accept a letter from U.S. President Donald Trump aimed at reopening communication channels between Washington and Pyongyang, an informed high-level source told NK News.
Trump drafted the letter to DPRK leader Kim Jong Un with the goal of restarting the dialogue that they had across three summits during his first term, according to the informed source, who spoke on condition of anonymity due sensitivities around the outreach.
But despite multiple attempts to deliver the letter in person, North Korean diplomats based at the U.N. headquarters in Manhattan have bluntly refused to accept it, the source said.

Cruz Pitches $1.1 Trillion Cut to Fed Bank Payments for Trump Tax Bill
Texas Senator Ted Cruz pitched Republican senators Wednesday on ending the Federal Reserve’s authority to pay interest to banks, claiming it would save $1.1 trillion over a decade, with members of the party’s conservative flank lauding the idea.
Blake Gwinn, head of US interest rate strategy at RBC Capital Markets, said adopting the proposal could create severe difficulties for the Fed.
“If you do it, you’re going to have to give it a lot of runway,” Gwinn said. “To end it immediately would be disastrous. To unwind this you have to have some lag time. If you don’t give it lag time it’s going to be a huge mess.”

Rand Paul says "incredibly petty" White House rescinded picnic invite over budget bill opposition
By Grace Kazarian
June 11, 2025 / 7:00 PM EDT / CBS News
Washington — Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky said Wednesday that the White House has disinvited his family from the congressional picnic over his opposition to President Trump's budget bill.
The president is scheduled to host members of Congress from both parties and their families Thursday, an annual tradition that takes place on the South Lawn.
"I think I'm the first senator in the history of the United States to be uninvited to the White House picnic," Paul told reporters. "Every Democrat will be invited, every Republican will be invited, but I will be the only one disallowed to come on the grounds of the White House."
Paul said he had planned to bring his wife, son, daughter-in-law and 6-month-old grandson to the event, but learned that they were no longer invited when he went to claim their tickets.
"I just find this incredibly petty," Paul said. "The level of immaturity is beyond words."
"They've decided they want to declare war on my family and exclude us from the White House," he added, saying he was given no explanation. "We're just not welcome."
While some Democrats are busy joining Republican colleagues to praise ICE, Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., is seeking to pass a law that holds police accountable for violence against protesters. Her bill, introduced in late May, would apply penalties to law enforcement for using force in response to a demonstration.
“Now, more than ever, it’s important that we’re doing everything we can to protect Americans’ right to free speech and peaceful protest,” Omar said. “That’s why I introduced legislation to make law enforcement violence against protesters a federal crime.”
While the bill praising ICE got 75 votes from Democrats and 205 Republicans, with seven co-sponsors, Omar’s bill has only garnered three co-sponsors. Another resolution Omar introduced late last month that condemns police brutality, especially in response to protests, has no cosponsors.

Authorities are investigating a Wednesday morning crash in Los Angeles' Boyle Heights neighborhood as a possible assault with a deadly weapon involving federal agents who allegedly fled the scene, according to KABC.
A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security told Newsweek that this was a "targeted arrest of a violent rioter."
Witnesses told the news station that federal agents in an unmarked pickup truck and SUV, as well as a civilian vehicle, were involved in the crash. The vehicles departed the scene when a small crowd gathered on the sidewalk, the news station reported.
The LAPD and Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the scene, according to the news station.

He, along with Senior Pastor Tanya Lopez and other community members, confronted the agents and repeatedly asked for their information.
Lopez said the agents refused to give their names and denied orders to leave the church parking lot.
"When we said that we don’t want this in our property, this gentleman just shouted again, 'whole country is their property,'" Lopez said. "When someone tells that to you with a weapon in their hands and in their body, that was a very clear message. And as a man of faith, that is not allowed and that is not correct and that stands against everything that our country stands for."

>Wormuth dismissed the claims.
>“Concerns about the Army being, quote, woke, have not been a significant issue in our recruiting crisis,” she said. “They weren’t at the beginning of the crisis. They weren’t in the middle of the crisis. They aren’t now. The data does not show that young Americans don’t want to join the Army because they think the army is woke — however they define that.”
>In fact, according to Army data, recruiting numbers have been increasing steadily over the past year, with the highest total in August 2024 — before the November election. Army officials closely track recruiting numbers.
>Instead, a significant driver of the recruiting success was the Army’s decision to launch the Future Soldier Prep Course, at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, in August 2022. That program gives lower-performing recruits up to 90 days of academic or fitness instruction to help them meet military standards and move on to basic training.
>In the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30, 2024, the Army met its recruiting goal of 55,000 and began to rebuild its delayed entry pool. About 24 percent of those recruits came out of the prep course. Wormuth said she expects it will contribute about 30 percent of this year’s recruits. >>2313941idpol is always a distraction and never related to real issues. the american army is the only actually integrated institution, "white men" are practically irrelevant for them. they do not enlist because it is a shitty job which means that anyone with a brain and generational wealth will avoid it like the plague that it is, regardless of the number of bathrooms or mexican MRE menus

>>2314002>Trump’s Fascist-AnarchismTrump and the Republican party espouse both fascism and anarchism; therefore, on a profoundly fundamental level, Trump and his fellow Republicans contradict themselves. The rot of contradiction runs through them from top to bottom.
Fascism contains many tell-tale attributes:
Fascists fetishize power.
They practice a cult of personality.
They promote masculine strength.
They see criticism as treasonous.
They try to bully opponents.
They wrap themselves in military symbols.
They present themselves as unquestionable experts in any field or endeavor.
They will not allow anyone to challenge them in foreign or domestic affairs.
Their leader is always right, no matter what he says (Fascist leaders are never women).
They often travel in attack units using repurposed military vehicles, war flags, and military fatigues to intimidate the opposition.
They use unrelenting, legal, and illegal means to quash opposition thinking.
Any of this sound familiar? Cult of personality? Check. Masculine strength display? Check. Using military paraphernalia? Check. Check, check, and check. Clearly, Trump and Republicans embrace fascism. However, this worldview presents problems because their fascist characteristics run headlong into anarchism.
Let’s have a look:
Anarchists wants to tear down governmental organizations
Anarchists say only individuals can create cooperative social structures
Anarchists reject all state structures because they promote the sovereignty of the individual, as opposed to a state that does things on their behalf, such as pothole repair, regulating medications, and overseeing interstate commerce.
Anarchists want to break up governments they claim steal power from the individual.
Anarchists promote free association where no party or leader tells them what to think.
Anarchists oppose governmental planners because they think individuals can make their own plans on every topic.
Anyone who knows what fascism and anarchism mean realizes fascist-anarchism cannot hold together. One person cannot promote fascist-anarchism without fact blindness and willful self-deception followed by terminal chaos. No party, no person, no nation can espouse fascist-anarchism because it wars with itself. Nevertheless, the Republicans preach both fascism and anarchism.
More can be said about fascism and anarchism; however, it is time to highlight the Trump-Republican internal confusion.
The Trump-Republican Internal Confusion
Fascist Republicans support robust governmental agencies that give their leader king-like powers. In opposition, Anarchist Republicans have for years been dismantling government agencies. Look at Project 2025 where they plan to eliminate the following: the Departments of Education, FBI, Environmental Protection Agency, The Federal Reserve, The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, Head Start, Corporation for Public Broadcasting, Public Service Loan Forgiveness, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and others.
Fascist Republicans swim in a cult of Trumpian personality, worshiping his every pronouncement as though he were their Savior. Anarchist Republicans never look up to anyone, eschewing kings, leaders, and “saviors” because they rely on themselves alone.
No political entity can be both fascist and anarchist at once. A person or a party must choose between these two things:
Either (A) a fascist dictatorship where individuals bow to the supreme leader, think of Hitler and ᴉuᴉlossnW,
Or (B) an anarchist state where isolated individuals stand helpless against corporate greed, mob actions, and bullies of all stripes, think of Free-Staters and Lord of the Flies.
Nevertheless, Trump and his Republicans want them both at the same time.
Fascists might try to appease anarchists by strengthening only some agencies; however, such cherry-picking won’t suit those pesky anarchists. Anarchist Republicans would say less government means less government; not creating “some” warehouses full of shock agents ready to attack.
The Republican strong-man government vs the Republican anti-government conflict does not so much resemble an unstoppable object hitting an immovable object as it resembles two hopelessly confused objects uselessly banging into each other. Nothing good, productive, safe, healthy, or economically sound can come from them. In such a Republican fascist-anarchist world, things fall apart and the center cannot hold because their internal contradiction generates nothing but chaos, confusion, and bedlam.
>>2313967>Future Soldier Prep Course, at Fort Jackson, South Carolina … That program gives lower-performing recruits up to 90 days of academic or fitness instruction to help them meet military standards and move on to basic training. This is interesting – it wasn't the woke, it was the fat. >>2314001>I think Im starting to realize something. Rebellion is only okay to liberals if your white. I don't think they like rebellion at all. >>2314025Well, dumb isn't a problem for the military.
>>2314015>How could anyone support Trump at this point unless they're already making millions or are just insane fascists? In my experience most people are "no information" voters because the information environment is so polluted and inherently stressful that they tune out any news more abstract than the weather. It doesn't matter how bad Trump is because the other guy is just as bad. Nothing ever gets any better for them no matter who they vote for, so they really don't care. They might hear something now and then that they like, and go based off of that and its interaction with whatever other vibes they're feeling, but that's it.
It probably doesn't hurt either that their last memories of Trump in office is stuff like the eviction moratorium, child tax credit, increases in snap, and actual checks for cash, any one of which is probably more help than most people have gotten from the US government since the Johnson administration. Then Biden got in, and practically his first act as president was to renege on a promise to mail out $2000 checks if the Democrats won in Georgia. Then a few years later, after forcing an unpopular vaccine mandate onto people to force them back to work, he presided over the repeal of the biggest social security expansion in almost seventy years, sat idly by while roe v wade was killed, and sent billions of dollars worth of aid to fascists in Ukraine and Israel while doing nothing for Americans getting hammered by natural disasters and punishing inflation.
So at this point the average person's opinion is basically "what does it matter?" At least voting for Trump, there's the
possibility that something good
might happen, or at the very least the suffering
might fall on some people that actually deserve it for a change.

So they are taking one for the team like Labor in UK.
I don't know how to place Americans. On one hand so many seem vehemently opposed to socialism and especially communism, yet some people still voted for both Trump and AOC.

>Braun holds anti-American,[6] anti-Ukrainian,[7][8][9] antisemitic,[10] anti-Zionist[11] and anti-LGBTQ[12] views, and has been broadly described as far-right.[13]Braun has been described as pro-Russian.[39] He was interviewed by Sputnik in 2019,[40] and has been praised by the Russian media for his stances on Ukraine since the beginning of the 2022 invasion.[41] He claimed that his party was actively fighting against the "banderization" and "ukrainization" of Poland by trying to prevent the influx of Ukrainian refugees.[41] On 25 June 2022, Braun took part in a pro-Russian rally; he addressed his speech to Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Joe Biden, proclaiming "President Joe Biden, if you still trust God, let your private interest and the interest of American corporations, that sell weapons to Ukraine, along with entire America, kneel in humility in front of God's almightiness(…)".[42] During a debate in the European Parliament Braun stated that the military aid to Ukraine is not helping the Ukrainian people, but only prolonging the war, after which his microphone was cut off.[43]
On 4 June 2024 Braun and a group of supporters pulled down the Ukrainian flag atop Kościuszko Mound.[49][50]
On 7 October 2024, during a debate on the first anniversary of the Hamas-led attack on Israel that initiated the Gaza war in the European Parliament, Braun called for Israel to be designated a terrorist state, describing Benjamin Netanyahu and his government as the "largest and most criminal terrorist organisation".[11]
On 12 October, Braun stated that, "the Polish Army should not lift a finger in the defence of a small, depopulated, nasty, anti-Polish, Bismarck, Anglo-Saxon and Jewish creature, that is modern Lithuania".[52]

UNITED NATIONS, June 12 (Reuters) - The United Nations General Assembly will vote on Thursday on a draft resolution that demands an immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire in the war in Gaza after the United States vetoed a similar effort in the Security Council last week.
The 193-member General Assembly is likely to adopt the text with overwhelming support, diplomats say, despite Israel lobbying countries this week against taking part in what it called a "politically-motivated, counter-productive charade."
The draft resolution to be voted on by the General Assembly on Thursday demands the release of hostages held by Hamas, the return of Palestinian prisoners detained by Israel and the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
It demands unhindered aid access and "strongly condemns the use of starvation of civilians as a method of warfare and the unlawful denial of humanitarian access and depriving civilians … of objects indispensable to their survival, including willfully impeding relief supply and access."
"This is both false and defamatory," Israel's U.N. Ambassador Danny Danon wrote in a letter to U.N. member states, sent on Tuesday and seen by Reuters.
Danon described the General Assembly draft resolution as an "immensely flawed and harmful text," urging countries not to take part in what he said was a "farce" that undermines hostage negotiations and fails to condemn Hamas.
A new Quinnipiac poll released on Wednesday underscores the growing partisanship over Israel, and the declining sympathies among Democratic voters towards the Jewish state
ISRAEL - HAMAS WAR
When voters were asked how confident they are that Israel and Hamas will agree to a permanent cease fire in the near future, 17 percent say they are either very confident (3 percent) or somewhat confident (14 percent), while 77 percent say they are either not so confident (33 percent) or not confident at all (44 percent).
Voters were asked whether their sympathies lie more with the Israelis or more with the Palestinians based on what they know about the situation in the Middle East. Thirty-seven percent of voters say the Israelis, while 32 percent say the Palestinians, and 31 percent did not offer an opinion.
This is an all-time low for the Israelis and an all-time high for the Palestinians since the Quinnipiac University Poll began asking this question of registered voters in December 2001.
Among Republicans, 64 percent say the Israelis, while 7 percent say the Palestinians, and 29 percent did not offer an opinion.
Among Democrats, 12 percent say the Israelis, while 60 percent say the Palestinians, and 29 percent did not offer an opinion.
Among independents, 38 percent say the Israelis, while 30 percent say the Palestinians, and 31 percent did not offer an opinion.

Syria's Islamist-led interim government has decreed that women must wear burkinis - a swimsuit that covers the body except for the face, hands and feet - or other "decent" clothes at public beaches and swimming pools.
The regulations, issued by the tourism ministry, were "aimed at enhancing public safety standards and preserving public decency", Syrian state news channel Al-Ikhbariyah al-Suriyah reported.
Private beaches, clubs and pools, as well as hotels with more than four stars, are exempt, the directive said.
Women often dress modestly on public beaches in Syria, but some women do opt for more Western styles of swimwear. The new government previously pledged to govern inclusively.
Under the new directive, beachgoers and visitors to public pools must wear "more modest swimwear", specifying "the burkini or swimming clothes that cover more of the body".
The decree added that women should wear a cover-up or loose clothing over their swimwear when they move between swimming areas.
"Travelling in swimwear outside the beach without appropriate cover is prohibited," it said.
Men should also wear a shirt when they are not swimming, and are not allowed to be bare-chested outside swimming areas.
The statement said "normal Western swimwear" was generally allowed in exempted places "within the limits of public taste".
More generally, people should wear loose clothing that covers the shoulders and knees and "avoid transparent and tight clothing", the decree added.
The directive did not say whether those who fail to follow the rules would be penalised or how the rules would be enforced. But it did say lifeguards and supervisors would be appointed to monitor compliance on beaches.
It also included other safety regulations around pools and beaches.
Reacting to the new rule, one woman from Idlib in the north-west of the country told the BBC's World Service OS programme that, while she could see both sides of the argument, "I do think there is a positive to this, from a moral and respectful point of view."
Celine said: "Some people and families don't feel comfortable seeing or wearing too much exposed skin and I believe that is a valid perspective."
But another woman, Rita, who lives in the capital, Damascus, said she was "not comfortable" with the new rule, "especially as we are not used to such laws".
"In the coastal area, different ladies from different religions all have been going there and until now, we wore what we wanted," she said. "Religious people could avoid those in bikinis. But this law makes us scared of where to go."
She added: "We have no problem with the burkini itself, but it's a problem with the concept that the government are controlling this."
In December last year, Islamist rebel forces led by Ahmed al-Sharaa toppled Bashar al-Assad's regime, bringing years of civil war to an end.
Since then, al-Sharaa, now the country's interim president, has promised to run the country in an inclusive way.
In March, Sharaa signed a constitutional declaration covering a five-year transitional period.
The document said Islam was the religion of the president, as the previous constitution did, and Islamic jurisprudence was "the main source of legislation", rather than "a main source".

>>2314982>>2315000https://www.cnn.com/2024/04/09/business/boeing-787-whistleblower A whistleblower claims that Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner is flawed. The FAA is investigating
> Federal authorities say they’re investigating Boeing after a whistleblower repeatedly raised concerns with two widebody jet models, and claimed the company retaliated against him.
>Whistleblower Sam Salehpour, a Boeing engineer, alleges that Boeing took shortcuts when manufacturing its 777 and 787 Dreamliner jets, and that the risks could become catastrophic as the airplanes age. The New York Times was first to report the whistleblower complaint.
>His formal complaint to the Federal Aviation Administration, filed in January and made public on Tuesday, is not specific to the newer 737 Max jet that has been grounded twice by the Federal Aviation Administration.
>Salehpour on Tuesday said his complaint raises “two quality issues that may dramatically reduce the life of the planes.”
> “I am doing this not because I want Boeing to fail, but because I want it to succeed and prevent crashes from happening,” Salehpour told reporters on a conference call Tuesday. “The truth is Boeing can’t keep going the way it is. It needs to do a little bit better, I think.”
>The FAA has interviewed Salehpour as part of its investigation, his attorney Lisa Banks said. The FAA said it investigates all whistleblower complaints.
>“Voluntary reporting without fear of reprisal is a critical component in aviation safety,” the FAA said. “We strongly encourage everyone in the aviation industry to share information.”
>A Senate subcommittee will also take up the concerns at a hearing next week.
>“We are fully confident in the safety and durability of the 777 family,” Boeing said in a statement Wednesday. “These claims are inaccurate.”
>It also disputed Salehpour’s concerns about the 787.
>“These claims about the structural integrity of the 787 are inaccurate and do not represent the comprehensive work Boeing has done to ensure the quality and long-term safety of the aircraft,” the company said in a statement. Gaps in the Dreamliner
> Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner planes, which entered service in 2011, could have 50-year lifespans – around 44,000 flights each, the company says.
>But Salehpour’s complaint alleges crews assembling the plane failed to properly fill tiny gaps when joining separately manufactured parts of the fuselage. That puts more wear on the plane, shortening its lifespan and risking “catastrophic” failure, Salehpour’s attorneys alleged.
>The allegations aren’t entirely new: For nearly two years starting in 2021, the FAA and Boeing halted deliveries of the new Dreamliners while it looked into the gaps. Boeing said it made changes in its manufacturing process, and deliveries ultimately resumed.
>“We incorporated the join inspection and verification activity into our production system so that airplanes coming off of the production line meet these specifications,” Boeing said.
>The 787 Dreamliners were not grounded, but the FAA twice investigated questions about quality control during the jet’s assembly process. The company maintained that the planes were and are safe to fly.
>Salehpour’s attorneys said the FAA was surprised to discover through his complaint that the gaps were still an issue.
>“I literally saw people jumping on the pieces of the airplane to get them to align,” Salehpour said. “By jumping up and down, you’re deforming parts so that the holes align temporarily … and that’s not how you build an airplane.” >>2315062god damn it
