Climate change means it's not good enough to just sit and wait for Capitalism to collapse, you fucking idiots. We can see what is happening, we know that the Capitalist mode of production is WHY it is happening, and if we do not stop it in 50 years or less we are looking at an event which ranges from the end of civilization as we know it to human extinction. This is the ONLY possible outcome if we do not overthrow Imperialism (remember, the final form of Capitalism!) within our lifetimes.

It is American dominance that enables American imperialism to destroy the world. Without eroding the US government's influence we cannot possibly wrest it's hand from the levers of power. We have to destroy global capitalism (Imperialism!), but we can only do that once we have overthrown the US government. Since the US Government exists to defend and propagate this system, the system cannot be overthrown unless the United States government is destroyed.

Do we just sit and wait for the bomb to go off and hope it won't hurt us too badly in our lifetimes (and of course, dooming future generations to much worse) or do we do something about it? One strategy comes with a guaranteed chance of failure, the other with a tiny chance of success. Doing nothing means nothing will change.

There exists only one model, the Leninist model, for how to successfully organize the proletariat, and that method calls for the combination of ALL tactics, both legal and illegal to create a flesh and blood organization that can physically confront and defeat the state. However, we must move quickly. This is why we must tailor our struggle to our own material conditions, the threat of climate change looming on the horizon forces a more militant path. We must do what Lenin did within our lifetimes or it will never matter.

Lenin had one major advantage that we do not. Lenin had a crisis!

Lenin faced radically different material conditions, Russia faced severe crises the likes of which have never really been seen in America, and despite that the collapse of Russia still took decades. The collapse of China took over a century. America has never suffered from war or famine like Russia and China did, and two enormous oceans insulating us from the "old world" mean that we likely never will. To sit and wait for a crisis means that we will be waiting forever. We cannot afford that.

We must BECOME the crisis. We must hurt the machine so badly that it is forced to focus inwards, ending American dominance of the world. This can be done. The imperial wars of the post Cold War era, euphemistically referred to as the Global War on Terror shows us that this beast can be defeated. Not only that, but only we we can hit it's soft underbelly, we can hurt the beast in ways that no overseas adversary ever could. The very nature of Capitalism and it's tendency to monopoly means that many of the Department of War's most essential suppliers are single source. That means, with a single strike, we could starve the beast of munitions, ground it's airplanes or keep it's ships in port. An Iraqi or Afghan insurgent couldn't have dreamed of such a favorable situation. With basic organization, we could deliver devastating strikes that would have real, tangible effects on America's capability to continue it's imperial domination of the world.

This is the only way forward with any sort of scientific backing behind it. Everything else is nonsense that assumes the bourgeoisie will simply lay down and die when the people vote hard enough or hopes to organize enough voters to eventually get free healthcare on a dead planet.
