Hey /pol/. It’s come to my attention that a known Zionist music producer is coming to my town of Montreal this summer. The Alchemist is a known Zio who has produced songs for “Israeli” artists and even made an instrumental album a few years ago entitled “Israeli Salad” ;after a stolen traditional Palestinian dish). Him being invited as part of Montreal’s Jazzfest is a BLATANT violation of BDS. It is an insult to all the Palestinian musicians who lost everything in the genocide. I need help organizing something against this guy when he comes. I’m thinking a protest outside the venue but I don’t know how many people will show up. Any suggestions?
Note: Montreal has sone of the most trigger-happy cops in North America so I would prefer something that won’t get us into legal trouble.

What do you want people to do? Picket the venue? Organize a boycott of Jazzfest itself? This is a huge event that brings hundreds of thousands of tourist bucks to MTL (I live here too). I’m pretty sure your band of 40 comrades boycotting won’t do shit. Maybe tell MTL Palestine Action to do something? What will they do? Barge in during Al’s DJ set with Palestinian flags to run him off the stage?

>>2725945what's the point in protesting outside the venue? you should perform a more direct action like waving the Palestinian flag during his set or shouting 'free Palestine' during quiet moments. as we've seen with other zionist acts such as Radiohead and Sleaford Mods, they get absolutely brain broken by even the mildest show of solidarity with Palestinians. plus there's a good chance it will get recorded and posted on social media which will force the festival organizers to acknowledge their violation of the BDS.
Hold him hostage and demand the release of all the Palestinian political prisoners for his return.
