I've been looking up a little about east german children's homes, such as the youth work camps including the "Torgau Closed Youth Detention Center" and the stuff im reading here does not sound good. The stuff includes child abuse, including sexual abuse, torture, and general neglect, all supposedly allowed to happen because of the government's general denial of such abuse being possible in a socialist state and a general culture of silence with adults being caught barely being punished. DDR bros, what is the retort to this?
