I'm not against these laws at all, society progresses, but I am against setting them irrationally, not factoring in the different biologies of men and women (girls mature early precisely to procreate faster), hence why they have reached levels of retardation not seen even during Victorian times, such as vilifying older men who are attracted biologically peak female fertility
it makes no sense to be attracted to older women since attractive older women are the ones that retain those very characteristics of youth.
Does this mean a 45 year old should be able to marry a 15 year old ? Not necessarily, in capitalism and market economies that older man uses his exploited resources to acquire her. This is abusive.
But some might be organically attracted to each other, and previous societies, or contemporary rational ones regulate this socially.
