So China's real state market just crashed, and houses will be cheaper. How is this a bad thing exactly? I don't understand much about economics. But why is everyone saying this is a bad thing?

Why does a socialist state (oxymoron) have a real estate market?

>>2795437
China is a dictatorship of the proletariat. The state does stuff, like controlling strategic sectors (even though they have billionaires in the CCP, but that doesn't matter) so that makes them socialist.

They expect to reach socialism by the year 2700, just trust the plan, comrade.

>But why is everyone saying this is a bad thing?
The financial bubble popped. Many people predicted this, real estate companies built towers in the middle of nowhere to keep inflating the bubble, and nobody wants to live in a tower around agricultural fields.
It's "bad" because a lot of investors lost money, and the investors are both rich men in suits and aunties working at the ¥15 noodle shop.
But I fucking wish this would happen in my country, I fucking wish, I'm neither a boomer who bought a bunch of apartments downtown for $100k while working overtime nor a middle-class idiot who believed that "investing in stone is the safest bet" while being cucked by banks for the next 30 years. The safest bet is investing in Coca Cola, always.

>>2795439
The last vegas shooter made bank with real estate investments.

Inspirational

>>2795439
tbh I have full confidence that the CPC will fuck over the small landlord in favor of the noodle shop auntie.

<The bursting of the bubble was completely intentional. Beijing did not accidentally stumble into this crisis; they explicitly engineered it to neutralize what they viewed as a systemic financial threat.

>In 2020, the Chinese government decided the real estate sector’s debt was a ticking time bomb. Operating under President Xi Jinping's directive that "housing is for living in, not for speculation," regulators instituted the "Three Red Lines" policy.

<This policy established strict debt-to-cash, debt-to-assets, and debt-to-equity ratios that developers had to meet to borrow more money.

>By abruptly cutting off credit to highly leveraged giants like Evergrande, Beijing knowingly starved the sector of cash. They chose to trigger an immediate, painful crash to purge speculative risk rather than wait for a catastrophic, unmanageable collapse later.

>>2795492
You’re a naive idiot for believing that

>>2795497
Sure buddy, because the political base of the CPC are the landlords as everyone knows.

>>2795500
They killed all the landlords to kill their competitors, not because they actively believe anything outside of cynical self interest

>>2795502
>Their cynical self-interest of keeping housing affordable for people.

Horrifying.

how much does china have in public housing compared to private

>>2795516
The CPC themselves are gonna steal half your check through rent

>>2795502
>They killed all the landlords to kill their competitors,
based

>>2795535
Corporate consolidation is based, hail blackrock

How do i make the US real estate market collapse

>>2795539
Boomercide

>>2795542
Boomers are dying anyways because the bourgesisie goverment is to lazy to fund STEM research, anyway to destroy real estate market through bad investments

>>2795545
The youngest boomers have many decades to live still

>>2795552
ok but killing people is bad

>>2795495
Yes unironically. This bubble was propped up by debt. Many people in the know were talking about it five years ago on FT, etc. I saw from my own eyes a few of these "ghost towers" and it was absolutely ridiculous. Some Chinaboos here were even denying Evergrande was a problem. The greedy yellow men in suits had a bit of fun, now it's over, and once again, the current CPC leadership is simply better at managing capitalism. It's still a real estate bubble at the end of day, but they know when to say "stop".
>>2795492
Through which mechanism? The first rule of investing is "don't invest what you can't afford to lose". This is capitalism babe, with Chinese characteristics.

>>2795542
>boomers die
>RE investment firms swoop in
>Back to square one

>>2795542
Ever heard of inheritance?

>>2795525
Rent? 95% of all Chinese people own their apartment/house right now.

>>2795565
>moralism

>>2795438
>the year 2700
Lmao

>>2795437
Dengoid sisters…

>>2795436
under capitalism high profit rates are the point, so a crisis of profitability results in destruction of productive forces and imperialist war.
>Why does a socialist state (oxymoron) have a real estate market?

>They expect to reach socialism by the year 2700, just trust the plan, comrade.

this but unironically

if you ask "why isn't [x] doing socialism?" and [x] isn't YOU, you dun goofed

nobody's gonna do it for you. you gotta reach out and take it. stop being a product of your environment, and make your environment, a product of you

God I wish house prices here would get reset to 2005 levels.

>>2795623
Unironically it might take 100 years for Chinese workers to overthrow their dictatorship of the bourgeoisie and guide humanity towards communism (German revolution but successful)

>>2795623
I use all of these paragraphs that you quote snipped from xitter to argue against the notion of a socialist state since Marx explicitly dunks on it in them.

Thanks, I'm downloading these.

>>2795652
>I use all of these paragraphs that you quote snipped from xitter
are you stupid. the sources are listed. at the bottoms of each quote. are kids this stupid these days?
>to argue against the notion of a socialist state since Marx explicitly dunks on it in them.
illiterate

>>2795649
Get down to business, all of you!

>>2795654
Yet they call Stalin a revisionist 😂

>>2795653
>are you stupid. the sources are listed
I know but when I quote theory I do it as screenshots with the Marxist.org UI, since I actually read the works, unlike your shitty cutout xitter info graph shit meant for copy pasting.

>>2795654
desperate quoteminer

>>2795654
Very nice… now let's see what Lenin wrote about the NEP and the social production in the USSR in his last pamphlet and congress

>>2795657
What are you trying to say here?

>>2795436
> But why is everyone saying this is a bad thing?
Are you retarded? You came here to tell us everyone is saying it's a bad thing, so having read such articles why don't you tell us?

>>2795620
Garbage

>>2795607
Mortgages

>>2795695
Until you seize power your critique doesn’t matter

real estate WILL be worthless, you WILL have too many houses that they devalue to nothing

File: 1777400312694.jpg (75.57 KB, 748x527, 2293.jpg)

>>2795700
I'm pretty sure China has many people who have read Marx that the dictatorship of the bourgeoisie may consult to learn how to fuck up workers more effectively

They don't need westoids who have read Marx for that

>>2795737
Chinese steak is too juicy, sent back for being too tasty.

>>2795730
But gorbachev and western marxists were 100% in agreement.
In fact, that was the problem, gorbachev listened to the western leftists and eurocommunists who said the USSR was too totalitarian and needed to liberalize

>>2795436
>just crashed
old fucking news, all the westoid "muh ccp collapse!" did their thing already, more than a year ago, and then had to admit it didnt propagate and was a good calculated move from the government stepping in to curb speculation on home construction sector and make sure the sector is there to give people places to live and not rake in money
socialism with chinese characteristics win again
