In 1957, Załuski gave a lecture named "Patriotic Traditions and the Contemporary Shape of Socialist Patriotism", where, with Gomułka's approval, he declared the Marxist slogan of "workers do not have a nation" to be no longer valid:

Comrades we know that since the times of the Manifesto the world has considerably changed, the international workers’ movement also changed… We ought to remember that we moved quite far away from treating this quote and these thoughts of Marx as they were treated 50 years ago, however, we have not moved away from Marx, but from grasping at half a sentence of his thoughts, and we have moved in the direction of understanding [that] the development of the world went in this direction and that is where our intellectual revisions come from. We have moved in the direction of understanding the second part of the Marxist sentence, because we have observed the process of the proletariat gaining their national fatherlands

Rodacy Kamraci declare themselves Stalinists, and expressed admiration for the NKVD Commissar Ivan Serov.[25] Olszański claimed that he joined the Motorized Reserves of the Citizens' Militia (ZOMO, communist paramilitary police) in 1980 and beat the anti-communist protesters from Workers' Defence Committee in defense of Polish nationalism. He stated that he takes pride in the possibility of having personally beat up Tadeusz Mazowiecki, the first prime minister of post-communist Poland.[111] He claimed that he joined ZOMO specifically to maintain the communist rule in Poland,[112] and glorified the Polish People's Republic.[68] Olszański made Bogdan Poręba [pl], a prominent member of the Endocommunist Patriotic Union Grunwald [pl], as well as Albin Siwak, a national communist who considered the anti-communist opposition in Poland a Jewish conspiracy, frequent guests during his streams. He also declared his support for the leader of North Korea Kim Jong Un,[113] and has praised the Red Army,[114] calling them the liberators of Poland.[35] Olszański stated:

Poles, poisoned by Americanism and a sense of invincibility — believing that the Virgin Mary will save them from everything — think they’re players in the game [of the Western powers], but we’re just cannon fodder. Piasecki knew this; he said that we Poles truly love the Soviet Union. I love it too. Really. I’m not being cynical.[35]

Given his ideological pretensions, however, the leader of PAX stood
closer to Gomułka’s chief ideologues, such as Kliszko and Andrzej Werblan,
than to ambitious generals. According to Mieczysław Rakowski, chief edi
tor of the weekly Polityka, Piasecki was held in high esteem, particularly by
Kliszko. “ZK [Zenon Kliszko] likes to listen to Piasecki, and, as I have been
told, he is fascinated by Piasecki and the power of his arguments.”26 Number
two in the party, Kliszko was one of the leading advocates of nationalist
communist fusion. As for Piasecki, he had propagated the alliance of
patriotic-socialist forces since the end of the war. By 1965–66, Kliszko and
Piasecki were smoothing the way for the advance of the nationalist tide.
In this respect, their reactions to the publication of Adam Schaff’s book
Marxism and the Human Being (Marksizm i jednostka ludzka) had much in
common. Schaff, a leading party ideologue and member of the Central Com
mittee, published his study in 1965. At the heart of the book stood the thesis
that in its daily practice, socialism had moved away from the theory of in
ternationalism to nationalism. According to Schaff, one of the consequences
of this trend was a lack of deterrence to anti-Semitism, which he identified as
a popular form of racism in Eastern Europe. He recommended a return to an
internationalist ethos as a way of containing manifestations of xenophobia.27
Schaff’s book met with a cool, even hostile reception from Gomułka’s
circle. Kliszko and Werblan were at the forefront of these attacks. Both of
them lambasted Schaff during a meeting at the editorial office of the party
periodical Nowe drogi (New roads) in October 1965. Werblan denounced Marxism and the human individual as “a Talmudic approach to the classics of Marxism ” Werblan complained that
Schaff had gone overboard in emphasizing the “threat of nationalism loom
ing over communism.” Kliszko went even further, contrasting the national
ism of oppressed nations to the nationalism of their oppressors. The former
constituted “progressive nationalism, patriotism stemming from passionate
love for a nation.”
The message was not lost on Piasecki. In 1966, exactly one year after the
debate in Nowe drogi, he presented his own critique of Schaff’s book at the
PAX leadership meeting. According to Piasecki, Schaff ignored the evolu
tion of Marxism and the existence of other ideological currents on the Left,
such as PAX’s pluralism of worldviews. The concept of a “classless, nation
free individual” demonstrated the heavy influence of “bourgeois existential
ism.” It was Schaff’s emphasis on the estrangement of internationalism and
nationalism that most fueled Piasecki’s criticism, however. For Piasecki, so
cialism restored to the proletarians a sense of participation in the national
community that had long been denied to them by the privileged classes.
“Hence,” he continued, “the alliance of socialism and patriotism—which we
observe in our country—does not stand in any opposition to the founders
of Marxism.”30

Its always fun to read about them
>Mr. Kosecki had been attacked by KOR, the Polish dissident group, which advised the Solidarity union. Samoobrona was quoted as saying, We relentlessly and obsessively continue the campaign against the Jews and the Masons.
>The Jewish chauvinism controls 80 percent of the Western industry and finances; it dominates in propaganda, science and culture; it steers the so-called public opinion. That is why the Western governments represent the interests of the Jews and the Masons. The Soviet camp is a barrier for the Jewish chauvinism and for its plans to conquer the world.''

He was 100% right
Siwak believed that the intelligentsia was unreliable in its loyalty to Marxism, unlike class-conscious but ordinary workers. He spoke critically of the reformist current represented, among others, by Mieczysław Rakowski, Deputy Prime Minister and editor-in-chief of Polityka. Siwak and Rakowski were often compared with each other. In Siwak’s view, Rakowski secretly supported “Solidarity” and pursued an “opportunistic and capitulationist policy toward Solidarity and the counter-revolution.” In response, Rakowski repeatedly tried to convince Wojciech Jaruzelski that Siwak’s activity was harmful to the PZPR.

i wouldn't be quick to make a judgment of who to support between the endokoms and the liberals, the former used to have a lot of overlap with fascist groups after the dissolution of the ppr, kind of similar to nazbol. in any case, that choice is long gone now, and polish politics remains dogshit as usual

Indeed first thing "liberal humanists" do is dissolve the party
>Nationalist writer PAX Aleksander Bocheński, who defended the principle of central control of the economy and criticised the concepts of introducing competition and building certain forms of capitalism. Particularly controversial were adopted proposals of workers' self-governments and anti-inflationary policies, which were seen as a copy of Gorbachev's policies as well as introduction of capitalist dynamics into the economy
>Shortly before 1989, Jaruzelski changed the course and instead pursued a strategy of reaching a "round table" agreement with Solidarity, mediated by the Catholic Church. This decision was strongly opposed by Grunwald, which took a hardline stance - Grunwald members were ones of the few delegates to vote against the Polish United Workers' Party self-dissolution at its last congress in January 1990

>From 1969 to 1990, Bohdan Poręba belonged to the Polish United Workers’ Party and was also a member of the Patriotic Movement for National Rebirth. In the 1980s, he was one of the founders and chief ideologists of the “Grunwald” Patriotic Union. He was also active in the Polish-Soviet Friendship Society. As one of the few people at the final congress of the Polish United Workers’ Party, he voted against dissolving the party and supported the political line of Albin Siwak, known as “national communism.” From 1986 to 1989, he was a member of the National Grunwald Committee.

Speaking of Piasecki, he had a pretty good turnout
Piasecki’s funeral was scheduled for January 4. As a member of the
Council of State, he was buried with all honors. His body was taken first to
the Primate’s Palace in Warsaw’s Old Town district. The simple wooden
coffin draped with the Polish flag was placed on a catafalque in the middle
of the hall, before the neoclassical columns and below a plaque depicting the
Polish white eagle. Soldiers from the Polish People's army’s honor guard stood at
attention. Members of the government, the Council of State, leaders of political and social associations, and representatives of PAX formed alternating guards of honor. Among the numerous veterans of Polish political life who came to pay tribute to Piasecki were Josef Cyrankiewicz and Zenon Kliszko.
