Ok lets all drop the kayfabe for a second. When Pretti and Good were killed by the US govt, I saw leftists all over the country experiencing existential crises and deep depression.

That's just 2 dead protestors. The Islamic Republic themselves have said that they killed thousands of protestors.

Anyone who calls themself an ML yet is opposed to this just outed themself as being primarily anti-West and not an actual socialist. Communists in Iran are simply practising revolutionary defeatism just as Lenin did, and it is probably the right strategy.

I really just made the thread to mock the retard in the picture but if you want genuine opinions then here's mine:

It absolutely does disgust me. The Iranian government is evil and I support Iranian Communists in their struggle for liberation. I was worried about the possibility that the protests could be co-opted by Israeli and American interests, thereby worsening the situation but ultimately I trusted that the Socialists in the country knew what they were doing.

However, with that being said, I do support Iran against the US because the US and Israel's intentions with Iran are to balkanize it and turn it into a destabilized puppet state of the West that is largely ruled by whatever fucked up Shi'a version of ISIS rises from the chaos. I cannot possibly see the situation getting better if it falls to the US. I do still support Iranian Communists, and if they choose to revolt against the government then they have my support. I am, in all fairness, worried that without a large base of support in the country they'll just fail and accidentally help the US in the process. Even if that happens, I think the Islamic Republic is ultimately to blame for not giving into their demands, thereby dooming the country to annihilation by the US.
