The working class, by contrast, really just wants not to be bothered. Our political positions tend to be informed by a disdain for the culture war generally, rather than any specific positions within it. I remember back in the 2010s, I was hard into a lot of chuddy spaces and was supportive of a lot of chuddy movements, even though I myself have never been a chud in any way shape or form. Why? Because I found SJWs annoying and didn't want to lose my job because I called a xe/xer "sir", and saw the alt-right stuff as a way to counterbalance it. It sounds petty, but it's the kind of thing you do when your interests are material, not ideological, and in my experience, it's the way working class people operate generally.
