Why are so many wealthy people like Hasan and Mamdani leftists and socialists and communists despite being from wealthy families? It makes me very skeptical. It seems like socialism is in the class interests of the already wealthy and powerful, not the immiserated person barely making a living without a pot to piss in. The pattern repeats through out history as well. Marx and Engels both came from well off families. As did Lenin and Mao.

Basically why should i trust some rich trust fund kid telling me socialism is in my interests? Seems like socialism is just a way for the already rich to accumulate ever more social capital and power.

They're nothing compared to how fucking insanely rich REAL rich people actually are. You can be working class and be wealthy. Same as in feudalism. There were plenty of very wealthy peasants. It doesn't erase their class position.

hank pecker and mamdani are revisionist social democrat not socialist

>>2820687
>so many
<huh like two social democrats
I question the premise of the question, even if we were to include the ridiculously small number of rich donators to communist parties around the world, because I do concede they exist.

because they are the left wing of capital

Class doesn't determine class consciousness, class traitors can come from any class.
Hasan and Mamdani, they are just less than human social-democrats, reformists, liberals, the worst of characters ardent principled communists have been against for hundreads of years, they are socialdemocrats, not communists, they are with reform not revolution, they are for class society, and all that characterizes capitalism. They are not revolutionary, they serve to pacify the workers.

main character syndrome + recognizing that the system is dying + not being enough a sociopath to want to continue it OR savior complex

>Why are so many wealthy people like Hasan and Mamdani leftists and socialists
Well hasan isn't, but Mamdani at least so far seems to be. I know you mean in general but your examples were flawed.

Right-WIng political activists also come from wealthy families. That's just how political activism works, it's not exactly a poor person occupation.

none whites that don't want to get deported to rapistan

I know it was a million billion years ago but socialism was actually started by rich people as a sociological experiment due to the second industrial revolution. Even (get this) American Plantation owners got in on the action and tried to setup communes to have emancipation through socialism. The rich white girls kept on insisting on manitory polycules and word got out, so they decided to pivot to Christianity. All of this is 100% true.

women ruin everything don't they

>All of this is 100% true.
source??

>Basically why should i trust some rich trust fund kid telling me socialism is in my interests?
The people you're talking about were mostly from upper middle class families, hardly members of the real economic elite. But to answer your question, it's pretty much just a universal truth that political movements are articulated by the intelligentsia before they become a mass force.
>Basically why should i trust some rich trust fund kid telling me socialism is in my interests?
You shouldn't just trust anybody. You should use your brain and actually critically evaluate what they're saying as compared to what their opponents are saying. Do you really think it's better for you to have a system in which you have no power or say in your workplace, your boss can work you as hard and pay you as little as they want, a tiny handful of massive porkies control your political system, you have to pay exorbitant prices for the basic necessities of life, and any failure or struggle is entirely your fault and you're left totally alone to deal with it?
>Seems like socialism is just a way for the already rich to accumulate ever more social capital and power.
If that were true then the bulk of the actual economic elite would support it, but they don't. Moreover its proven that socialist economies have significantly more equal distribution of resources, and can translate fewer resources into better economic outcomes for the majority.
