Like yeah per capita (American) black men shoot people at higher rates (that's what we're talking about right?) because of growing up in the hood but that just collapses completely if you randomly pick on any individual black guy. (Which the police really do.) It's something you learn in a statistics 101 class, not even re: race or politics specifically, it's just a problem about inference from population-level data but it usually applies to people.
Also chuddery is an interally contradictory ideological formation in an ironic paradox sort of way, in that it tends to make what they don't like into a self-fulfilling prophecy. It's like Hitler is going to save the white race whoops Hitler just killed millions of white people and destroyed Germany! That is an especially catastrophic example and it's a bit weird of an argument to make since it's almost like making it from the far right but still, that did happen. But in the U.S. context you have white flight, disinvestment, mass incarceration and otherwise the state fashioning black men as a criminal enemy sort of class. Huh gee now these people are really good at hitting licks and evading detection, but you made them that way.
Third thing is more psychological. If people from different "races" encounter each other and have negative experiences, that isn't good. But I think people need to get out and explore and meet different people. Often once you do you realize it's not such a bad deal. You also develop a more accurate understanding, because what you're afraid of is probably not going to kill you, it's something like a vehicle accident or drowning in a pool that will kill you. Also mosquitos have a massive death toll on humans worldwide.
There are war correspondents who went to to war-torn West African countries 20 years ago and filmed child soldiers ripping people's hearts out. That is a bad deal but those kids are like soldiers who are proud of that and want to show off to the white man with the camera, so he wasn't actually in as much danger thank you might have thought. Also battle casualties weren't as high as you might think either because of the style of warfare. It's not that the chuds are pussies necessarily (just kidding a lot of them are) but they are sheltered. Like where's the Faustian spirit here?? You have these chuds shaking in their boots. You won't get anywhere telling them they're "wrong" necessarily, it's just that their perception of danger and risk is distorted. That's sub-optimal from a survival perspective. Some places are genuinely hazardous but that's why it's better to gain the trust of the locals, also most places are more normal than you think.
