>>2855647It's shaped by Haz's eclecticism which mixes in some fascist adjacent stuff, but I came around to thinking they have more in common with other "ML" sects or Deprogram listeners than anyone in those sects will accept. If you isolated the social conservatism and "let's be the villains from 1984" aesthetic choices it wouldn't appear that different to normies who don't know anything about this stuff.
This isn't a defense, it's more of an indictment of that broader subculture. And a lot of the people who join these groups also develop their politics online through memes. I went to a meeting once by an unrelated group (they were turbo woke actually, ultra-left in character + Turtle Island stuff, you know stuff the ACP hates, also they no longer exist but they would've warred with the ACP) and they had this presentation that was like full-on multipolarity, here's a list of "great leaders" around the world and there are just pics of Xi, Maduro, Lula, AMLO, and also Bukele for some reason. I can't remember if Putin was up there, but I was like what fucking drugs are these people doing, but for whatever reason they were on some anti-imperialist Bukele meme. Didn't even know that was a thing. It was just strange. It really bummed me out though. But it really wasn't that different. Same with the emphasis on "mutual aid."
