>>2863069The state arises from the irreconcilable nature of class antagonisms within a class-based society, specifically between owners and non-owners, who are bound to clash, but also in conflicts between one owner and another. While the capitalist's interest lies in accumulating capital, and the bourgeois state may attempt to establish a hypocritical "order" to preserve bourgeois class rule, this does not preclude individual members of the bourgeoisie from abusing their power to pursue petty, antisocial interests, even in ways the bourgeois state itself deems unacceptable. There is also the issue of bourgeois actors operating within the framework of imperialist capitalism, which keeps peripheral nations dependent on the imperialist core; viewed from this perspective, it becomes much easier to understand why such individuals might commit acts classified as crimes.
