What do you think of them?
A lot of people on this board hate them for their supposedly inherent "Bourgeois" or "Petit bourgeois" elements but: 1. many of them are carried out by leftist orgs against military dictatorships or otherwise tyrannical governments, 2. Ignore the revolutionary potential of such movements and how the proletarian of the imperialistic nation can cooperate with the proletariat of the seceeding nation and result in a defeat for the former nation's bourgeoisie and their imperialistic power
  1. Even if they had beorgeois elements, Some nations such as kurds in Turkey historically or Kashmiris presently have been subjected to so much oppression and their position so unstable and tenouos that it's more important to advocate for their independence rather than let them be subjected to further oppression for the sake of barely tenable idealist principles

the one i find the most fun is Scottish Nationalism.
basically
  • UK doesn't even have socdems anymore, let alone a viable left
  • Scotland, on the other hand, has socdems because the pro-independence Scottish National Party are squishy socdem civic nationalists (their conception of Scotland is basically geographical, not ethnic and not even cultural)
  • pretty much all the left in Scotland are now pro-independence (sadly they were more mixed in 2014, where many naively thought a Labour government was due in the UK and would move things left a little. ha-ha-ha.)
  • a substantial chunk of the English left, however, basically want Scotland to stay (or think Scots are being unreasonable and should just shut up and go away - but not actually leave, just stop bothering England while accepting London rule) and they tend to frame this position as anti-nationalist, even though it is obviously in actual-fact British nationalist, since there is no non-nationalist option on the table here.
  • this usually includes bizarre asides like accusing scots of being anti-english, emphasising that historical scottish grievances like the highland clearances etc were actually done by other scots (as if people don't know this), or that scots were also involved in the British empire and should stop thinking of themselves as historical victims, all of which has basically nothing to do with what scottish nationalists are actually bothered by. (which is mundane bread and butter stuff like "welfare policy is controlled by reactionaries in London", "the UK government vetoed our bottle recycling scheme just to be cunts", etc. the most historical grievance anyone actually cares about is "the UK government completely squandered north-sea oil after covering up just how much oil there was to weaken scottish nationalism in the 1970s" which, is just outright true.)

sadly the SNP itself has sort of fallen apart over the last decade and doesn't actually have any serious plans to advance scottish independence. still, it's fascinating for being so anodyne and yet for attracting such ire.
(its also something that far left organisations would benefit from studying. by competently plugging away at their niche cause and exploiting openings as UK institutions crumbled, they managed to take a fringe cause that used to be a bit of a joke right into government… even if you don't think electoralism is the right path, the process of building support is still indicative.)

Someone's aspirations and only hope of living a free life isn't a PSYOP just because of your intellectual laziness

Completely incompatible goal with communism, which is a one world, one language, one cultural government and system

>>2864668
>one language, one cultural
????
Who said you must have one culture and language under communism? How would a social ownership of the means of production erase cultural differences between regions, Which arises due to different living conditions and vast distance between living spaces??
And the balkanization of imperialist countries into smaller ones doesn't mean attaining communism is impossible anymore than attaining communism is in this exact global state. elaborate on this point.
Your vision of communism of one united world government isn't incompatible with smaller scale local governorship I completely fail to see your point and honestly I think there is none you're just confused.
That's like saying governments on a provincial and state level are incompatible with the central government

Differences in language make economic participation harder
