Among normies, it became increasingly popular to pretend to be autistic, while having no actual symptoms. I.e. autism is a modern fad, like being non-binary - a way to get attention. Actually autistic individuals who don't get clues and can't read the room are still highly unwelcome. These people for example may claim they love to play chess or know programming, but when you start probing what they actually know or care about, you find that it is just their public face, and they are just trying to be cool too hard. Not gatekeeping anything, just mentioning that transsexuals/transmeds already distanced themselves from the "transgender" community. Actual autistic people can follow the example by maybe gating their community with a Bongard Problem captcha, which normies and AI still can't solve.
