How come they didn't manage to build decent cadres to lead the country? Why someone like Khrushchev managed to be the next into power? How the rise of revisionism could've been prevented?

Because it wasnt a revolutionary socialist state anymore, stalin and his buddies created a new class, and Khrushchev was unable to reform the state because the new stalinist class had become so entrenched into the USSR.

In an real worker's republic the proletriat would be allowed to participate in governace and electing one of their own candres who truly wanted to help, stalin did not want this.

Wrong

>the proletriat would be allowed to participate in governace and electing one of their own candres who truly wanted to help
Wait, are you saying this wasn't the case when Stalin was in power?
>stalin did not want this
why?

>Wait, are you saying this wasn't the case when Stalin was in power?
Initially there was several political parties in Soviet Russia, but more importantly there were local soviets of worker's that held actual political power electing actual representatives, allowing a true democracy that if continued, wouldve prevented a new class separate from the conditions of the working class to have formed.

>why?

He wanted to centralize power for himself and his buddies, turning local soviets into bodies for party bureaucrats allowed him to empower himself further and limit opposition to himself and his interpretation of marxism.

Because stalin killed off every single actually competent marxist during the purges.
People glaze stalin because of the great things he accomplished during his reign.
But he also laid literally all the economic cultural and political foundations that doomed the ussr in the end.

I think it really was over in 1945. Nukes changed the way everyone thought about warfare and the US was also couping and overthrowing socialists, national liberation movements, reformers, and anyone who might ally with the USSR over the USA.

it *started to be over in 1945.

also interestingly the first CIA coup was the year Stalin died. Jacobo Arbenz and Mohammed Mossadegh

I remember hearing one claim that the Commissar program accidentally caused the most devoted socialists, the true believers, to die during WW2; basically the guys in the lower ranks most devoted to communism would become Commissars and lead these heroic charges and, unfortunately, get killed off quickly
