The biggest contradiction in American Capitalism is not the industrial proletariat and the bourgeoisie anymore. With the industrial basis of the USA dying mostly out, as seen from the rust belt, we can see this industrial basis being diverted to the third world.
Now of course this has cause MASSIVE domestic economic issues, and while yes the national bourgeoisie has benefited from not having to deal with constant strikes and coal wars, it now has to deal with an uncompetitive economy with no backboard of stability to lay on, other then.. the commodity of oil, the only commodity that still holds inherent value because of its extremely vital role to the development of capitalism, almost every other resource commodity that has been used, whether Diamonds being produced in labs, or gold being mass mined, are no longer the centre of exchange, ONLY OIL, AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE PETRODOLLAR. oh and also some of the petite-bourgeoisie but they play a smaller, and dying role.
Truly the biggest contradiction in America is the contradiction between the national bourgeoisie, what can be called the “federal” bourgeoisie, and the international bourgeoisie who controls oil!
It is in the best interest of the national bourgeoisie to hold the global oil supply themselves, as it would retain American domination internationally, thereby preventing the internal contradiction of the petite and state bourgeoisie, or the unemployed, from causing collapse.

Every year renewables get cheaper and cheaper, the only way to make that like oil would be to invest in weather machines that break the laws of physics making America the only place the wind blows, the sun shines, and the water flows. Not very realistic.
