People are saying that Cuba is defeating US energy containment with a Chinese-assisted solar strategy.

Couldn't the US just bomb Cuba's solar farms with no consequences?

Absolutely nobody in the world gave a shit about ~200 schoolgirls being slaughtered in a double-tap strike on the first day of the unprovoked US-Israeli bombing campaign of Iran.

This is why I said before, Cuba is naively retarded for not stockpiling a military deterrent against its neighbor like the DPRK did before assembling these solar farms. If I were in charge of Cuba instead of this libtard poofter "We Are the World" Diaz-Canel, any US military action against my country would see Mar-a-Lago, Florida turned into a charred parking lot.

Ironically, Trump being stuck in an Iranian quaqmire of his own making is what protects Cuba to an extent.
The US literally have no bombs left for Cuba

Khrutchev fucking dropped the ball and ate US's bluff in the missile crisis. Big L

>People are saying that Cuba is defeating US energy containment with a Chinese-assisted solar strategy.

>People are saying that Cuba is defeating US energy containment with a Chinese-assisted solar strategy.

What people?

Cuba plunges into darkness as state energy firm reports new nationwide blackout

<Cuba's electricity grid collapsed late on Sunday, the state-owned grid operator said, plunging the island into darkness. The country has faced a series of total collapses of its electricity grid since the US imposed an energy embargo that halted regular deliveries of fuel for power stations.

The issue isn't whether the US could physically destroy Cuban solar farms. It obviously could a hundred thousand times. The real question is political cost versus strategic benefit. Cuba has survived for decades not because it can match the US militarily, but because invading or openly attacking it would carry diplomatic, economic, and domestic costs that Washington has generally judged not worth paying. A bombing campaign against civilian energy infrastructure would be another level of escalation entirely.

I have to say, though, that the DPRK's model as universally applicable is not a great idea either. Nuclear deterrence is the product of very specific historical, industrial, and geopolitical conditions. It isn't something every sanctioned socialist country can simply decide to build. As for the solar projects, they're not about making Cuba invulnerable. They're about reducing dependence on imported fuel, increasing energy sovereignty, and making the blockade less effective. Strengthening the productive forces under siege is rational, even if it doesn't eliminate military vulnerability.

Revolutionary politics isn't about retarded macho fantasies of turning cities into parking lots. It's about sober assessments of material conditions. The contradiction isn't solved by rhetorical escalation but by building economic resilience, maintaining international support, and raising the political cost of imperialist aggression.

>>2884230
perfect reply

>>2884089
Yes. That is why they should have kept the nuclear missiles. That is why any country's infrastructure projects meant to improved their economy and/or quality of life is always at risk. Every country on earth must acquire ballistic missiles capable of reaching LA, NY, and DC; and nuclear warheads.

>>2884237
Wrong, that's why they should have USED the nukes.

>>2884237
reportedly Fidel and definitely Che wanted to keep the nukes but the Kruschev and co made the call to pull them out.

>>2884256
fucking corn man

>>2884230
This is retarded. Making a direct invasion economically inconvenient only makes a protracted siege inevitable. Nuclear weapons are the only solution as the development of a military alternative that would be equivalently deterrent (a MIC parallel to the USAs) would never be allowed to be developed by the USA. They would sabotage it, as they have done historically, through economic (IMF and other institutions), political (CIA and other USA intelligence institutions), and military intervention.

You are a naive moron. Grow up.

>>2884184
You're a prime example of why people don't like online communists.
