Because AI is something that allows them to actually get ahead in the global market, and they have less to lose from its implementation.
Whereas in the first world, AI threatens the only career paths that anyone still finds viable, which are white collar careers and creative/artistic work.
Because AI will allow them to be self-employed churning out barely good enough content from the confort of their home while making 3x their local wages (still peanuts), of course everyone would love AI if that was the conclusion
AI opens the door to the mechanization of labor force tied to mental work meaning that highly qualified and expensive labor force is becoming cheaper, of course the center labor power is going to dislike this because now not only physical labor power has to compete globally but also mental labor power

Because “AI” is nothing more than often nonsensical chat bots that utilize significantly more resources, and create more pollution than they are worth. Doesn’t help that the bourgeoisie and their corps have embraced christo-fascist-cyberpunk mentality.
