thailand's counter insurgency has been a spectacular failure with shocking missteps like the army killing 80 people in backs of military trucks during a crackdown in 2004.
there's no proof of malaysian interference: this conspiracy theory is directly attributable to the thai military, who's increasingly reactionary juntas have not addressed the material causes of the conflict and have only exacerbated it.
